Put new bugs at the top of the page.

Please check the page before reporting your bug -- someone else may already have reported it (or something like it). Also check the Won't Fix list for things that are known about and (probably) won't get fixed.

Report Spelling Mistakes on their own page. Maybe someone will have an anal day and fix some of them.

Note that palantiring the admins is generally likely to get less of a response than posting here. We read the RecentChanges of the wiki frequently, and it's quite possible to miss seeing a "you have a palantir message" whilst playing. You should probably only use the palantirs if there's something that really needs to be kept secret.
Note also that carmilla.ecs.soton.ac.uk, and cities.totl.net are one and the same machine. All bugs visible on one will be visible on the other. If you have a problem with one but not the other, try disabling all GreaseMonkey scripts, and check the DNS.

Beeswax discrepancy

Using Lump of Beeswax does not consume the stated 1AP. --Plopfill 16:05, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

The same goes for Ball Mill. --Plopfill 16:10, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Error message produced on Monster Island

When I move south on Monster Island, I get this error message.

Something has gone horribly wrong (server error)! Either it's a bug in the code, or we are currently experiencing 'King fiddling time.
Please remain seated with your seatbelts fastened for the time being, and post a bug report to the wiki if the problem recurs.

(The message does not actually have a line break, but I split it up to stop it from exceeding the boundary of the page.)

Talismans etc Don't Work

Thought i might mention the thing about talis/other modes of travel not working. Sure, its been mentioned elsewhere, but hey, maybe reporting it here will get something done/explained about it? Ah, who knows? AmishRobots 08:09, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Vanishing AP

At least some of us are seeing our AP drop unexpectedly. Isambard has reported AP going from positive to negative AP overnight (and then even further into negative AP), and when I've logged in, I've seen my AP drop dramatically the first time I take an action. I didn't check how much AP I had before the first time I ran into the problem, but I dropped from positive AP to -31 AP on trying to hit the monster next to me with a Rusty Sword, and on logging in again just now I started at 759 AP which dropped to 215 AP after actually managing to hit a monster once with that Rusty Sword. Actions after that are costing the amount of AP I'd expect. So there's some large negative adjustments happening at login (pets imbibing nutritious air costing a lot of AP, maybe?). Help? Ravensdance 23:23, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

This problem did not occur again on login today. Ravensdance 22:30, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
Does this always seem to happen on login after time has passed or can it happen while playing interactively? I'll try and investigate further. --Ra 23:12, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
The two times I saw it happen, it was the first time I spent AP after logging in--in both cases, on an action of trying to hit a monster with a Rusty Sword. It hasn't happened either time I've logged in today. I haven't seen it happen while playing interactively either, but I wasn't watching for it until that first time I saw it dropped me unexpectedly into negative AP, and with tens of thousands of AP initially when the game came back up, there'd have been plenty of room for AP to vanish without my noticing. So I can't say for sure it doesn't happen interactively. Ravensdance 00:19, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
I lost almost 9k AP overnight, but the amount seems to have stabilized with over 17K right now though Syagrius 02:05, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
The first time logging in since Cities has been back. Took the Compensation Basket out of my inventory as the first thing I did, and found myself at -2037 AP -- 271 hours until I can do something (as BruceStark). BlaisedeC 22:38, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
Once he went positive I had him step south and he went from ~100 AP positive to ~30 AP negative. After he regained that AP (and was no longer on the center Limbo space), the effect stopped happening (and he stopped losing hit points to his poisoning). BlaisedeC 05:02, 7 April 2012 (BST)
Per the request on IRC that was passed on to the Current Events page, the first occurrence for BruceStark was around 22:00 UTC on 24 March 2012. The second occurrence was around 02:30 UTC 6 March 2012. BruceStark is the only one of my alts that has seen this problem. BlaisedeC 05:47, 7 April 2012 (BST)
Today I logged in with around -2300AP. - Isambard 06:09, 10 April 2012 (BST)
Just now (1:15pm game time) I fed my goldfish and it took 72AP instead of one.... --Dragon 13:17, 10 April 2012 (BST)
Happened again now (2:19am game time). Fed my goldfish, cost at *least* 120AP. Immediately afterwards I switched weapons to a Spear of Odin, which cost me another 120. --Dragon 02:21, 11 April 2012 (BST)
Seems to happen just about *every* time I check. shupeti currently at -1164 from maxAP from attacking a rat with a wand. beata at -3149 from maxAP just by hitting 'Play' a second time. --Beata 16:53, 11 April 2012 (BST)
5:02am game time today (12 Apr), lost 247AP feeding my goldfish twice (using Repeat Action). Might have lost some just before that (4:59 or so) but didn't remember to check my AP beforehand. --Dragon 05:22, 12 April 2012 (BST)
Lost 440AP from feeding my dragon, 5:07am today (Apr 14). Then 440 more immediately afterward (repeat-action 2xfeed, cost 442AP; should have cost 2AP). --Dragon 05:12, 14 April 2012 (BST)
Just now (2012-04-14 09:09 BST). Logged in, was at 759 AP (max) finally after going into massive negatives the last time I logged in. Switched items, and was suddenly at -1276 AP. Oh, and the time until AP above zero indicator is claiming it'll take 14891 hours, which is... slightly off. Ravensdance 09:15, 14 April 2012 (BST)
Just now - switched to a weapon I'm making and lost ... didn't do the math, but I've lost 10k AP in the last 2 days without moving around or doing actions that would cost that kind of AP. Syagrius 12:54, 14 April 2012 (BST)
OK, just now - 9:26pm (UTC -6) I practiced my viol (5ap) and went from 7977ap to 6632 in one single click. Syagrius 03:28, 16 April 2012 (BST)
Lost 921AP feeding Puff again. 2:41pm today (16 April). --Dragon 15:09, 16 April 2012 (BST)
Lost 119AP feeding my goldfish, then another 119 feeding my dragon, 4:03am 17 April. It seems to commonly happen in chunks of 120AP.... --Dragon 04:05, 17 April 2012 (BST)
Hmmmm. It seems to trigger on the first two actions I take after being idle for a while, but not on any actions after that. Has anyone else noticed this pattern? --Dragon 04:18, 17 April 2012 (BST)
I haven't noticed that pattern Dragon, though to be honest, I wasn't paying attention to that. What I HAVE noticed is I lose AP just switching active items. I want to practice my viol *poof* lost a ton of AP switching to it from whatever else I was holding at the time (wow, that sounds... bad) - Anyway, I'm down over 13K AP from standing in one place. Syagrius 00:39, 18 April 2012 (BST)
Lost 620AP, and then 120AP on the next action, 1:40pm today (19 April). Feeding pets again. Still seems to fit the pattern where AP is lost with just the first two actions. --Dragon 13:44, 19 April 2012 (BST)
Lost 1578AP reloading the page, 5:38am today (23 April). Then 146AP feeding Puff at 5:40am. --Dragon 05:43, 23 April 2012 (BST)
Went from full AP (625-ish) to -925 by performing one action, just now. Total AP lost since restoration of the game is now in excess of 29K ap. Syagrius 19:38, 29 April 2012 (BST)
Just lost about 1800AP making a Bottle of Cheap Axel Rose. I assume it's the game's way of saying I should be focussing more on finals.--Nuru nuru 06:25, 2 May 2012 (BST)
Just checked in again and now I'm at -3516AP. It would seem that even doing nothing can have quite an effect. --Nuru nuru 04:42, 9 May 2012 (BST)
Just logged in for the first time in a week or two (kept timing out before) -- says I'm at -3616ap and I haven't DONE anything in 2 weeks. Syagrius 13:53, 13 May 2012 (BST)
UPDATE: I'm fairly certain this is caused by some weird interplay of the pet code and the AP code. If you can get on, try un-equipping your pets and see if the effect ceases. It seems that the AP loss is greater the longer you don't play. Your pets won't die as they're still auto-feeding and will remain so until this gets fixed. If you're so out-of-AP that it's stupid, get in touch with me and I'll do something about it for you. AndyLandy 10:24, 11 June 2012 (BST)
After a week-long outage, I finally got Cities to load this morning, and I was at -2392 AP, despite not having done anything for a real-life week. Then I clicked "Are we there yet?" and when it loaded again, I was at -864 AP. So, third time's a charm, right? Clicked again, but I'm still at -864 AP. Maybe when our pets eat the air, the game charges us hundreds of AP? That's all I can think of. I literally did not and could not do anything during the period the game was unresponsive. --Greycat 13:51, 22 May 2012 (BST)
I recently dropped out in Limbo. Logged in to check my AP status... it said: 'Current Action Points: -72642402' and '8474947 hours and 0 minutes and 13 seconds until AP above zero'. I don't think I can wait 8474947 hours, could some GL please reset my AP to zero? --Liquid 20:46, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

Very slow. Very.

Not sure if this is a bug, but I feel a need to complain somewhere :) Is it just me, or the game play became as slow as a sleeping slug after the fix? It takes ages to log in and to do anything, the joy of playing is gone... I tried from different computers and on multiple occasions - it's always the same. Just because I'm in Sweden, does not mean I'm slow! Agzu 15:18, 9 May 2012 (BST)

I can't even get in right now - it times out. Syagrius 04:21, 13 May 2012 (BST)
As I've said elsewhere, I've had that problem on one character since a couple of days after I first got back on; on another it doesn't even time out, just sits and spins. The remaining three work, just slowly. --BlaisedeC 03:32, 14 May 2012 (BST)

Lost AP - Just Checking

Quick census of browser, scripts, &c: I don't know if it would make any difference.

Firefox 11.0, greasemonkey, GCS, 'tater's stuff. --Beata 08:08, 15 April 2012 (BST)
Firefox 11.0, greasemonkey with no scripts installed --BlaisedeC 14:54, 16 April 2012 (BST)
Midori 0.4, some subtle differences. w3m 0.5.2, other subtleties. --Beata 10:57, 22 April 2012 (BST)
Firefox 7.0, greasemonkey with about 4 Cities scripts enabled. Lost AP, gained it back, lost it again... insane. This morning when I was less than an hour away from getting 1 AP again, I disabled all of the Cities scripts, and then (an hour later) I was able to do things. --Greycat 15:10, 15 May 2012 (BST)
Opera 11.64, no scripts. Also noticing that my mana has also stopped regenerating completely --Bel3338 23:00, 17 May 2012 (BST)
Wait, what? You're able to play the game? I haven't been able to connect, from work or from home, for about 3 days. The connection times out. I thought it was down for everyone, and people were just too polite to say anything about it. --Greycat 13:29, 18 May 2012 (BST)
Well, it wasn't working for a few days, then Tuesday or Wednesday it started working again. It was still working last night; now it's down again. --BlaisedeC 02:50, 19 May 2012 (BST)

XML interface not working

Requesting info.xml gets "'king fiddling time"; mall.xml gets "Connection reset by server". BlaisedeC 22:07, 7 April 2012 (BST)

On a related note, the Monster League table is getting "Connection reset by server", and the Other League tables are omitting some characters (for example, BruceStark is not showing up). BlaisedeC 23:55, 8 April 2012 (BST)

Exceedingly slow refresh

Cities is responding to HTTP requests incredibly slowly; it sometimes takes 5 minutes to get a page to load. This makes some parts of the game unusable (for example, Tube travel - you can't exit the train if the train has arrived and departed the station before your page loads). BlaisedeC 05:55, 7 April 2012 (BST)

Now two of my chars can't log in. BlueFlame spins for ~5 minutes and then gives "Server has disconnected"; Lalumi spins for hours. --BlaisedeC 14:55, 16 April 2012 (BST)

Some Timed Events Not Occurring

Fashion bonuses, hat bonuses, and poison hit point loss don't seem to be working (at least not for every character). I have four alts. Of them, one has been receiving the fashion bonus while the other three have not. The two wearing hats have not been getting their benefits, and the one who is poisoned has not been losing hit points (nor does a green X show up on him any more, though the info page does show him as poisoned). BlaisedeC 05:00, 7 April 2012 (BST)

During the brief time between logging in and losing AP, I noticed that many of both beata's and shupeti's equipped pets had negative hunger. --Beata 16:57, 11 April 2012 (BST)
Karma restoration also appears to be affected. parking_god 17:01, 12 April 2012 (BST)
The monster league bonuses are also not working; but then... neither is the monster league page (I believe this stopped working at the start of April, possibly a bug with the count-halving on the first of the month?) --naath 09:33, 23 April 2012 (BST)
What was going on...
You gain 9 Mana. You gain 10 Mana. You gain 9 Pounds of Poop. You gain 9 Pounds of Poop. You gain 9 Mana. You gain 10 Mana. You gain 9 Pounds of Poop. You gain 9 Pounds of Poop. Your pet imbibes nutrients from the air. The nutrients in the air are becoming scarce! Your pet imbibes nutrients from the air. The nutrients in the air are becoming scarce! Your pet imbibes nutrients from the air. The nutrients in the air are becoming scarce!
... So all our pets are going to die while we wait another 6 months for the game to let us have a chance to move? P.S. I'm at -3417 AP right now. Haven't been able to do anything since sometime in May. --Greycat 20:27, 9 June 2012 (BST) Whoops, I clicked again, so make that -3654 AP now. --Greycat 20:32, 9 June 2012 (BST)

Cure Poison?

I have collected the ten Blue Flowers, but I still can't 'cure' anyone of poison. No drop-down menu under Abilites, as noted on the Quest:Cure Poison page. This has been so for a long time now, I have just now finally gotten around to whinging about it. cheese 14 March 2011 19:14 GMT

Have you met any poisoned people? Do you have antidote on you? --Dragon 02:26, 15 March 2011 (GMT)
Yes, and yes. Curiouser, and curiouser. --cheese 15 March 2011 15:18 (GMT)
Hmmm, strange. Are you using Greasemonkey? If so, can you disable it next time you're on the same square as a poisoned person? --Dragon 02:58, 16 March 2011 (GMT)
Nope, no Greasemonkey. Guess I'll have to go to the Great Lords. --cheese 17 March 2011 19:41 (GMT)
i can not cure also ... and its funny on the me page it has shown i have cured 1 person --rea 1 22:48, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Broken Bort Goggles

Somewhere along the line, something happened to the Bort stylesheet and now Bort goggles no longer work for anyone, not really that big a deal but people should not be denied the wonderful ascii asthetics. Zaylin 03:34, 11 January 2011 (GMT)

Killed by mistake?

I had well over 600 HP, but:

You attack the Pheonix (gen. 14). You cause 0 points of damage, and receive 0 experience. The Pheonix (gen. 14) causes 92 points of damage. The Pheonix (gen. 14) kills you. The Pheonix (gen. 14) nicks your stuff. You lose 54 Copies of 'It's Raining Men'. You lose a Dimmed Light Sabre. You lose a T-Shirt (Sertularian's Birthday Pa). You lose 4 Big Blue India-Rubber Balls. You lose 14 Seal Pelts. You lose 10 Buckets. You lose 8 Sheep Stomachs. You lose 7 Pieces of Chinchona Bark. You lose 3 Unicornucopias. You lose 4 Mandrake Roots. You lose 14 Map Spells. You lose 25 Small Yellow Flags. You lose an Empty Mug. You lose 107 Pocket Watches.

etc etc etc.

Any ideas? I'm now in Valhalla with nothing left but a Poison Hand. GrumpyNick 23:05, 12 December 2010 (GMT)

Follow up...I still had enough AP to go back and kill the rotten bird and retrieve my corpse so nothing lost except a couple of hundred AP. Odd though...GrumpyNick 23:18, 12 December 2010 (GMT)

Emissary and Poison Hand

I hit an Emissary with Poison Hand. This is what happened.

You attack the Emissary. You cause 0 points of damage, and receive 0 experience. Bubba attacks the Emissary for 0 damage. Henry attacks the Emissary for 0 damage. The Emissary winces in pain.

Probably not supposed to work like that. TDSupreme

Are you talking about the lack of emissary message, or what? The 0 damage is normal for emissaries.... --Dragon 13:28, 13 May 2010 (BST)

Exactly. The next time I attacked the emissary it displayed a message and disappeared as usual. Not a huge deal really. Just thought id mention it. TDSupreme 13 May 2010

Can't continue Poison Fist

I need to slay an arctic undine. Problem is, the second I hit it with my fists it freezes solid and becomes a different monster. Please fix this so I can continue. --Ade 11:54, 29 April 2010 (BST)

Different name, sure, but is it really a different monster? (Also, there is at least one way to kill it in one hit, albeit an annoying one....) --Dragon 13:00, 29 April 2010 (BST)
It is. I killed it and I wasn't given the "you feel deadly" or "you feel cowardly" message. As far as killing it, I can't hit it with anything besides fists, right? Painful Punch, the most powerful martial attack won't instant kill it. --Ade 13:55, 29 April 2010 (BST)
Hmm, that's odd. I didn't think monsters could spontaneously change their type, and there doesn't seem to be a Frozen Undine kill league. Anyway, I did say the one-shot way was annoying. (Get someone to put a Smite spell in an Eye Pod for you.) But I agree that shouldn't be necessary in order to continue the quest. --Dragon 14:30, 29 April 2010 (BST)
I was asked to kill an arctic undine, which I did so successfully even after it became a frozen undine. Try killing another? - Isambard 20:28, 29 April 2010 (BST)
I also had to kill an arctic undine - it froze, I killed it, and it was a successful kill for the quest. Syagrius 20:51, 29 April 2010 (BST)
Nevermind. Works now. Odd thing, that. --Ade 21:11, 29 April 2010 (BST)

Corpse vs Kipple

After a very foolish death, I was reunited with my corpse. I clicked the empty button, and got everything back, including an infinite amount of Kipple... but there was still (nan) Kipple left when I was done. Clicking the remove one item button made the (nan) kipple disappear, with the error "It doesn't contain that much of that." All very fine, but now I'm left with an empty corpse which I can do nothing with. It's my understanding that they're supposed to disappear when emptied?

Not a big bug really. I'll probably drop it in the dump eventually. (The corpse is ID#53391, if that helps.) -Scrumbucket 05:21, 10 March 2010 (GMT)

Whale Hunting?

It's odd...I can't attack the whales I find. I've tried changing alignments, different vessels, even no vessel, Wand of Anger, etc...others have offered advice, to no avail. Darn it, help me kill this darn whale!! Call me Ishmael...or just cheese 02:25, 6 February 2010 (GMT)

Do you see a "head" of the whale in some direction and are unable to attack it, or does it not have a monster entry on the path between squares at all? (Whales typically fill one square and have a "head" sticking out that you can attack that looks like a normal monster would, but sometimes they're buggy and lose the heads. If that happens you may need to send the coordinates to a GL.) --Dragon 03:13, 7 February 2010 (GMT)
No head to be seen - must be buggy. Thanks, Dragon. --cheese 21:33, 13 February 2010 (GMT)

Holiday Island Limbo

I've twice now ended up in Limbo from Holiday Island. I can't remember where I was the first time, but I think it was the villa, and have just returned via the teleporter to at 61E 56S. I've got nothing in my hands, and am wearing just my field glasses, fishnets and magic boots (lol), as well as a minrilax in need of dinner. --smudgepuss 19:15, 24 January 2010 (GMT)

I've just found this happen on Holiday Island and Wizards Island. Two toons ended up in Limnbo. Douro 11:43, 26 January 2010 (GMT)
I believe one way that this can happen is through terrain modifiers. If the Holiday Island terrain is overridden (by Fireworks, Smoke, Lava, or a Party, for example), it's effectively not Holiday Island for the duration. I know that when someone set off Lava Bombs on Holiday Island a while ago, a number of chars went to Limbo. I don't know if this applies in your cases, but it's one thing that will do it. -- Sertularian 22:03, 26 January 2010 (GMT)
It may be the Golden Condor. If it gets left on the island the terrain is changed and AP is not gained (if over max). So I think that it will also trigger limbo. I try to leave the Condor on the bridges if I am going to Holiday Island. Anoki 09:08, 17 February 2010 (GMT)

Royal Northern Research Centre

I've been attempting to accept the challenge for the egg hunt with my alt, Mark Salen. Clicking the accept challenge button does nothing but cause an endless load. Issue occurs in Firefox, Chrome and IE. And it's not the rest of the game hiccuping, as I can log out, log in and do other actions without issue. --Ade 15:40, 17 January 2010 (GMT)

Server Down?

Is the game server down? It's been timing out when I try to load the page - I think it started yesterday afternoon. Andrewsi 13:17, 11 December 2009 (GMT)

yes, the machine needs poking. It's not clear when it will be back. --Dragon 17:07, 11 December 2009 (GMT)

Death and Pets

If you die uninsured when you take your pets out of your corpse you will NOT be their container, you will need to do something to reset this (like put them down in a guild store or trade them to a friend and back) to be set to their container. Whilst you are not their container they can't auto eat from your inventory. --naath 10:31, 8 December 2009 (GMT)

Newstyle Repeater

When using a pin to draw blood, the repeater box will allow you to repeat the operation more often than your HP ought to allow. For example, since each time drawing blood takes 10% or so of your HP, you shouldn't be able to do it more than 10 times in a row. Yet, you can use the repeater box to draw as much blood as you have AP for, even after the button would disappear when doing it by hand. -Scrumbucket 03:44, 2 December 2009 (GMT)

Ineffective gold bling

I just spent 2000AP (crushing fruit) while wearing two gold blings, and it actually cost 2000AP, as opposed to the 666AP it should have cost. I was wondering if something had been changed or if this was a bug. Also, if it is somehow possible to retrieve the AP I lost, that would be nice. If you are checking my history, this happened around 5:30 game time. Thanks for your help. --JADW27 05:47, 31 July 2009 (BST)

They seem to be working fine for me, Sure you were actually wearing the bling, and not just thinking you had put them on? --Jpv 15:44, 31 July 2009 (BST)
That was my first thought as well, but it says that I put them on in my history:
You put on 2 Gold Blings.
Now using Fists.
I suppose it could also be a race condition involving the hourly scripts, but there's no way for me to check the "equipped" section until I have AP again. JADW27 15:20, 31 July 2009 (BST)
It was probably a race condition/rollback of some sort. Despite the fact that it told me I put on gold blings, I checked as soon as I got to positive AP and it was I was not wearing them. As a result, this isn't a bug, and I'll delete this post in about 24 hours. I am leaving it up temporarily in case anyone was curious about the resolution. --JAD 15:51, 10 August 2009 (BST)

That's weird

Today when I logged in in the morning I had not received the expected 50AP bonus from my wiz hat at midnight (I *do* still have the hat on...), checking the history I only have five of the "cutting edge of fashion" messages between the noon monster-league message and 0956 (the time it was when I looked). Something up with the hourly scripts? --naath 11:01, 24 June 2009 (BST)

I'm not getting the hourly updates either. Syagrius 21:35, 24 June 2009 (BST)
And, now it seems to be fixed. Syagrius 03:07, 25 June 2009 (BST)

Guild Factories

I've set up a couple of Guild Factories; one to make Cucumber Sandwiches, and one to make Vials of Salad Dressing. The second is supposed to be sending its completed Vials to the first, but they're staying on the second factory. The selector was definitely set to pass them to the East, where the first factory is. Andrewsi 23:08, 23 June 2009 (BST)

AP time warp of DOOOOM

One of my husband's alts, Shatattack, is stuck in a weird warping loop of AP down on Ignatz's retreat. About every 30 AP he spends, the game jumps back up 30 AP and negates everything he just did. He's tried everything...walking it off, foraging it off, crafting things...but around 30 spent AP, the game reverses. Has this happened to anyone else? It couldn't be a new, weird mixed drink effect lasting almost 5 days, could it?

Any notes on how to fix this would be wildly appreciated.

--Mawenpea 03:33, 23 June 2009 (BST)

Things like this have occurred when under the effects of multiple cocktails at once, although the exact circumstances are a bit hard to pin down (it might be more than one cocktail trying to "bloink" at the same time). If spending AP one by one and spending a large chunk of AP all at once don't work, then I don't know of a solution other than GL intervention. --Dragon 03:45, 23 June 2009 (BST)

The Cow causes 1 points of damage.

Cows do 2 points of damage, so the Long Skirt absorbed 1 damage, not 0. (Ok, not a massive bug...potentially could be considered a typo instead I suppose.)

Actually, cows do 1 or 2 damage. So ignore this :-P Ream 13:37, 16 June 2009 (BST)

Simply moving won't work in the control room, however you can talisman out. First equip the talisman with http://cities.totl.net/cgi-bin/game?item=AirTalisman and then break it with http://cities.totl.net/cgi-bin/game?act_item_use=1 --Jpv 18:01, 13 May 2009 (BST)

Still Down?

Cities went down last Thurs for me with the usual error:

That was it, Sert. I had to move east one square manually like you demonstrated above. I'm unstuck and not much worse for the wear. Hamster Bug

(Is a hamster bug a flea?)

We've identified four hamsters that only have three traits (fashion or otherwise) rather than four. They are Waffles (ID 39863), Fluff (ID 37481), Jaki (ID 44332) and Kiki (ID 44333). In all cases, if we're interpreting the DNA correctly, each of them should have the fashion gene of Goth (BVR) as one of their dominant genes, but they don't. There are a few other hamsters (well, two plus "copies") that have the same gene and they manifest the Goth fashion with no problems (such as Tai, ID 42309). I can't see any pattern between the ones that work and the ones that don't!

Anyway, I am pretty sure this is a bug rather than us not having enough data to know what is going on, so I thought I'd report it and see how we go! :) -- Rhapsodie 04:01, 11 March 2009 (GMT)

Help? -- Thog 03:08, 30 January 2009 (GMT)

This happened to me as well. Thog, Belkar, and I were attending Thog's Birthday Party when this bug struck, so that may have something to do with it. I should note, however, that I completed this quest successfully a number of times while at the party, but the last time I tried, I got no message after the ooze were defeated, and when I try to wear my socks, I get the same "nothing happens" message, even though I'm pretty sure I did a thorough job of ridding them of evil. --JAD 04:56, 3 February 2009 (GMT)

It was added for the Festival's cheese-related event. A select few Citiezens have Magic Milking Stools, which allow them to milk any monster with a bucket. (Which is rather disturbing.) They can use the exotic milk to create exotic cheese. But because they can milk anything, buckets now make everything hostile. The GLs may choose to change this, or not--but that's where it came from. --Dragon 07:10, 14 January 2009 (GMT)

HEY! What happened to my stall?

I left a perfectly good and reputable stall by the road to the 'Kingdom airport (Fearsome Edged Weapons) with 6 very nice battleaxes (hit for 50, + damage multiplier), I go off mining for more ore, come back after a week, nothing there. The meadow at 84E 295S offers prime grazing land for horses, but sheep - at least Quantum Sheep won't touch it. Do they know something the horses don't? My armourer, Namadgi, was given a gas bill (just after the game came back from the crash, if it's relevant) but when I select it I get the text and no image - just a little square to indicate that an image hasn't loaded. Self-Reanimating Pet

I attempted to put down my War Horsie, Throwaway (ID#28597). She should have starved to death about 16 hours earlier & checking my inventory, she did appear as a 'Dead War Horsie'. However, when I took my wheat out of my bag, she promptly ate 10 sheaves and sprung back to life with no evilness. Odd sales receipts

For a while now I've been getting sales recipts at prices that I know I haven't offered. For example, tonight I was told that I had just sold a D8 for 0 gold. I have never sold anything at that price, or for less than 11GP. Sorry, I haven't been documenting this but there have been all sorts of weird returns. After all, its only money. Dendrast 05:14, 28 September 2008 (BST)

This was an intentional change, although it may have needed better publicity (it was noted at the bottom of the Terrain:Market page with little fanfare). In an attempt to move more inventory, prices at the Markets are now automatically marked down by 1% three times per week. (Prices at private shops are not.) --Dragon 06:42, 28 September 2008 (BST)
OK, fine, I missed it, but I'm still feeling hosed. Tonight I was informed that I sold 2 forks for 0 GP, minus 2 commission; 5 lumps of beeswax for 0GP, minus 2 commision; and 5 dragon blood doses for 535GP minus 5 commssion. Why should I bother with the markets (which I prefer) especially when there's no return? Maybe this policy should have a 'bottom out' point. Dendrast 03:33, 30 September 2008 (BST)
Okay, you're getting hosed on the forks and beeswax, but dragon blood doses really have dropped in price. A bottom cap of, say, 2GP sounds reasonable, so you'll make at least a bare-minimum profit. If the prices on your stuff is dropping, then it means nobody is buying it. Dragon blood has been pretty low-value for the past year or so. Personally, I like this; it means I don't have to go back to my old market sales and mark things down manually. Prices simply drop (over time) until they're the going rate. I suppose this mostly screws over the people who buy things and re-sell them immediately at a higher price (if they find something that won't sell), but otherwise it helps better determine the "real" price of goods. PotatoEngineer 05:08, 30 September 2008 (BST)
I don't think you're actually charged commission for items that sell at 0gp, even though the message says you are. - Isambard 06:11, 30 September 2008 (BST)

I'm seeing a number of different messages about a cabal (or lack there of) throughout the interface at the moment. Sometimes it's part of my avatar, sometimes it's on a square nearby or sometimes it's in a blank area of the map UI. Bug or event of sorts? Douro 00:45, 25 September 2008 (BST)

Why on earth would you call this a bug if it's so deliberate? PotatoEngineer 06:12, 25 September 2008 (BST)
Well I thought about that and I was first going to mention it in the Cabal page but...if it's appearing in random blank spaces (like in the arena where there is no accessible space) or changing the layout of pages when a message appears in a single blank space. It could, of course, easily be an event but it strikes me more as a bug given it's so random appearance. Please please correct me if I am wrong!! Douro 13:11, 25 September 2008 (BST)

AP Cost to build a Guild Tube Kit is too high

This looks a bit like a copy-paste error: Guild Tube kits cost a quite moderate amount of equipment (only 500GP, 20 wood, 10 stones; the beeswax is the only hard part to get in bulk), and only 10AP to deploy, but each tube kit costs 200AP to manufacture, much like the other high-level Guild kits (such as the treasury, store, trading post, etc.). Royal Race

I've just completed the Royal Race but the Twitter says I've just started it again. (No completion message). I took a taxi to the fire city, went to the airport used a ticket to OZ travelled south stopped over night in Northwich, visited Tresoddit. Continued south to the festival and took another Taxi back to the royal Palace walk back and forth over the throne square. Triggering two more start messages. Didbert 00:17, 13 August 2008 (BST)

elseware said the above methods were allowed. It may be due to not actually crossing the "checkpoint" lines--i.e. going south, you never hit the first milestone at the 48S beach. This is arguably a bug (at least as far as the Race is concerned), since it wasn't really indicated that was required. --Dragon 17:56, 13 August 2008 (BST)

RNG is Not Random

Walking around the Oz forest, all of the Vorder Men I see are 1612800 Vorder Men. They are also consistently spawning to the south of the square east of me, as I move east. (It's pretty neat, if you want to GL-teleport to 53E 264S and then just start heading east...) Assuming these are newly-spawned, they would seem to indicate a severe problem with the RNG.... --Dragon 06:42, 12 August 2008 (BST)

Present

Today at the start of the festival I stole a present from Santa, I assume this is part of the festival activities? Anyway it said

Present: One of Ruthven's experiments went horribly wrong... and some of it's in this package. It looks horrible... but smells delicious.

So, er, I ate it. I didn't notice anything happen, but maybe I'm unobservant. Anyway obviously doing this left me holding my *other* present, from Christmas, which I was saving up, which now *also* says

Present: One of Ruthven's experiments went horribly wrong... and some of it's in this package. It looks horrible... but smells delicious.

This is, to put it mildly, annoying.--naath 11:36, 9 August 2008 (BST)

To elaborate, current presents give a bonus of 250AP, instead of the goodies that you were previously used to. My advice is not to use the present unless you absolutely need to, as of now ALL presents work this way.

Not Very Random Vents

I don't know whether it is a bug of just strange luck, but sometimes I have attacked a bat with a cruel blade or a wand of anger (92% to hit) and missed, not very unusual but being in the vents with max AP kept trying, I attacked a total of 100+ times and never hit the bat, This has happened a couple of times but then I thought it is just extra special terrible luck. Today I happened upon a Gygax, again having little better to do with my AP I set aout killing it, selected my D20s and... everytime the samething happens, I roll a 14 the gygax rolls a 3 claims my die is loaded and smashes it, atleast 7 times (8 for getting a 14). Is it supposed to do this in the vents or is the RNG just of the opinion whatever it first thought it is going to think for the rest of the day...ford_prefect 00:33, 29 July 2008 (BST)

I've had a similar experience in the vents. Good to know I wasn't just incredibly unlucky. Random4518 03:27, 29 July 2008 (BST)

I wouldn't say it was a reduced top hit, I mean 14 is much better than I normally roll on a D20, more just reduced random number generating...ford_prefect 01:42, 30 July 2008 (BST)
This is happening to me too... every D20 roll against the Gygax I'm fighting is a 4... each D12 roll is a 3, D10-D6 are each doing 2 and my D4 is doing 1 damage. My pets hit/miss exactly the same each turn too. (It'll roll random numbers... just won't attack with them!) Stoo 00:17, 4 August 2008 (BST)
+1 - same thing here. Against a Gygax, always rolling the same number and he always smashes the die. Syagrius 03:28, 4 August 2008 (BST)

I also had an RNG-related problem in the vents. Just tried moving through a newly opened pathway, only to be told one of my safety pins had worn out. Tried again and lost another safety pin. And then another. I took off my remaining 5 safety pins and tried clicking on the open path again. One busted tank. With tears rolling down my cheeks at the loss of my spare tank, I unequipped everything but a t-shirt and my disguise kit and was able to walk through without damage to either. Still.... seems a bit fishy to me.

(Supposititious claim of tear-rolling added for dramatic effect.) Nuru nuru 15:40, 30 July 2008 (JST)

The Oz Life Insurance Crisis

I died in Oz a while ago, did the 2 days of work I promised to, but was denied a new policy. The good folks over at L. L. Shrine did offer free counseling, but no insurance. I ended up going through all the shrine offices on the newer world, but none of them would take me on. I realize I have a bit of a poor track record with the whole not dying thing, but really! I did eventually get a new insurance policy at Air City, so at least the old 'kingdom has a functional public health program. Possible cause: Mixology. Yes, happened to me as well. I think it happens when you're under the influence of more than one teleporting cocktail. They both try to send you to a random location confusing the database. The only thing that helped me at that time was to find a kind fellow to summon me away. I'm nowhere close to Harvey's Retreat, but if you want I'll summon you to the 'kingdom. Flt 13:50, 20 December 2007 (GMT)
Any port in a storm. I humbly request any assistance you are willing to render. And I promise not to complain about the side effects of any good Samaritan. --Tiltowait 16:22, 20 December 2007 (GMT)
BTW, your explanation makes sense. I was slamming cocktails as fast as possible to complete the quest, because I had all the materials at hand. No doubt I am under multiple effects still. That's part of the reason I was attempting to burn so many AP all at once, that all the effects might wear off. --Tiltowait 16:25, 20 December 2007 (GMT)
skold is going to try giving you a summon. This will put you in fire city, though. Hope it worksdensity 17:28, 20 December 2007 (GMT)

Something's wrong with mixology

Harvey didn't let me learn the Egg Nogg. I was rather drunk (wankered) at the time already, but don't think that caused it. Every time I tried to learn it, a rollback happened and I needed to learn it again. On top of that, every movement, switching inventory items and so on also caused the rollback. I had to be summoned away. Rockefellow 13:05, 7 October 2007 (BST)

OK, here's my theory about what's wrong. I've been summoned back to the 'kingdom but the rollbacks still happen. I'm under the influence of two cocktails that cause random teleports (Bloinkk!). When attempting to do anything that costs a bit more AP, both cocktails try to Bloinkk me what maybe doesn't happen one after the other, but at the same time instead. No Whale in the Tarot

Aren't Whales supposed to spawn on the death of a Whale? There are currently none in my tarot deck :(

Per Monster_Spawning_Rules, Whenever any player acts, the paths within view of that player are checked. If a path has been empty for its set amount of time, a monster has a chance of spawning on that path (although it doesn't always occur). Thus, monster spawning is caused directly triggered by player actions. So the whale will respawn, but for the tarot deck to find it, someone has to see the square. There is also mention of whale spawning and how it doesn't always work as should. --TheRealKilgore 00:12, 25 November 2007 (GMT)

Attacking Confused Adolescent Tortoise

Possible bug. Order of events:

  1. Attacked Adolescent Tortoise with Pizza Slice becomes Eating Tortoise
  2. Eating Tortoise hits me for 40pt damage.
  3. Used Clean a Bandage to put my hp over max damage of a Tortoise.
  4. Attack with a Long Bow (miss to many times).

  6. Use Flashgun Eating Tortoise becomes Confused.

Wearing out in the Great Desert

When an item wears out on moving, you remain in the same space that you were in rather than moving and the AP for the move is not deducted from your total. All well and good. However in the Great Desert, you are still liable to take damage from moving across unsafe even though you haven't actually moved. Here's an example:

Your Field Glasses has worn out.
You take off a Field Glasses.
You lose a Field Glasses.
You are forced to drink from your water skin. 88% remaining.

This could be related to the #.28Internal.29_--_Player_cache_doesn.27t_work_properly bug above. Darksatanic 17:02, 28 January 2008 (GMT)

Report 1

Every time I've tried to open a stall, I've gotten this message:

"Hmm, your shop appears to have burned down or something weird. I blame database pixies. You lose a Stall Permit (6 items). Commence commerce!"

Has anyone else seen this message? Is it a random thing with stall permits that sometimes they don't work?

XXXXXXXXXX

That's a message that you should only get if you had previously hit the "couldn't open a stall after closing one" bug. Darksatanic 15:17, 8 February 2007 (GMT)

Report 2

On advice from this page - http://wiki.cities.totl.net/w/Terrain:Stall - that I would get back all the items from the stall, as well as a permit if I closed it. However - no items, no 60k gold it owes me, no permit. That's really kinda annoying. Any way of fixing this and getting my stuff back? XXXXXXXXXX

Midas Wand gold

Midas Wands only give a single Bit of Gold on the killing blow, no matter how many HP the monster has. If they partially turn the monster earlier, you still get the full gold from that. --Dragon 03:35, 19 April 2007 (BST)

Just had that happen to me, too. One-hit-killed a Bloody Big Bat with 12800 HP:

You attack the Bloody Big Bat.
You turn the Bloody Big Bat to gold.
You gain a Bit of Gold.
You slay the Bloody Big Bat.
You gain 103 Gold Pieces.
You gain 8 Doses of Antidote.
You gain a Clean Bandage.

I don't think I should be able to attack the booze hound from non-adjacent places and want to point out that someone needs to look into it again. In case of a random teleport happening the game should check if the action one is about to perform can actually be finished at the new coordinates. Someone else also experienced this bug: I remember he enchanted a talisman, but after several random teleports he was in the Great Desert - in his hand a Talisman to where he had landed, not to where he had enchanted it. Can I get some healing?

I'm standing on a square with no less than three full-fledged MDs, and I'm willing to bet at least one of them is On Call with enough AP to heal me. Unfortunately, there's 9 total people on the square, so it just says "Lots of People" and I can't get my healing. I'm not sure if this is exactly a "bug" per se, but I would like to be able to heal in these situations. Azuaron 19:50, 1 April 2007 (BST)

Should post under "Suggestions" - Like you said, it's really not a bug. I don't disagree with your suggestion though :) Syagrius

Spirit-Binding a Custom Weapon

Report 1

When I bound a spirit to my custom 10-damage weapon called "an Idea" (not my fault), I got the following message:

You lose an an Idea.
You lose a Bound Spirit.
You gain an ERROR(, couldn't run GAME/Item/.pm).

I found that if I equipped something else, "an Idea" showed up on the weapons list (occasionally it was known as ERROR(, couldn't run GAME/Item/.pm)), but once the screen refreshed, it became ERROR(, couldn't run GAME/Item/.pm) again. Not to be deterred, I tested this on a Jabberwock, only to find that it did 0 damage. Now, I'm not particularly attached to this weapon, as it's mostly to fulfill my inexplicable quest, but since I plan on getting a 16-damage weapon sometime, this will be a problem in the future. If custom weapons aren't designed to be the ultimate Jabberwock-banes, what are they good for? +) PotatoEngineer 07:59, 19 February 2007 (GMT)

They are supposed to be bane-able, but this clearly needs sorting out. I've done enough coding on cities for a few days but I'll get it sorted soon enough. 152.78.69.148 15:29, 19 February 2007 (GMT)
Update: the buggy item is now called ERROR(No type!), if that helps. PotatoEngineer 09:20, 12 May 2007 (BST)
Argh. I forgot to post the internal name of the item. It's "Bane.9165". PotatoEngineer 07:30, 17 May 2007 (BST)

Report 2

I just tried to attach a bound spirit to a weapon I'd had specially made for jabberwock killing, and this is the result:

You lose a Rackmount's Blade Sever.

You lose a Bound Spirit.

You gain an ERROR(, couldn't run GAME/Item/.pm).

..so I'm down one bound spirit and one incredibly time-consuming weapon, with nothing in return. Boo! :( Rackmount 08:26, 10 March 2007 (GMT)

Report 3

I had a Spanker, a very nice custom weapon I bought in the Mall. Not cheap, but great specs. I tried to bind it with a bound spirit (obtained from a present). I lost the spanker, a bound spirit, and gained a ERROR(No type!). The ERROR(No type!) disappeared after my first ap spent. Are custom weapons not elligible for binding? It doesn't say anything about that on the Bound Spirit Page. Loosing a bound spirit and a custom weapon is a rather expensive loss. -- Kilgore 1 September 2007

Mirror doesn't affect Compass

So one currently has his vision mirrored (due to a Mirror Monster) and as such, also has his Compass pointing in the opposite of the right direction. This is all fine, BUT when one also equips a Mirror, the Compass remains unturned (still in the opposite direction).

P.S. Could someone with normal, unturned vision equip a Mirror and see if their Compass is pointing correctly or in the opposite direction? --Bubba_the_Shy 19:22, 28 January 2007 (GMT)

My compass is still pointing in the same direction after equipping the mirror. --Jpv 17:50, 30 January 2007 (GMT)

Two different Sing functions

Those who have gained the ability to sing generally, have reported (e.g. Sert, Macksting, Mr Foo) that at an open-mic night, both sing buttons trigger the "join in the singing" for the open-mic and cost 3AP. We suspect the open-mic function is being attached second and overriding the generic sing. Naius 23:07, 22 December 2006 (GMT)

I followed the directions of the cards three times each times leading me to no Manatee, is this a bug? Or are the manatees that hard to find? All three times were withing seconds from when I spread the cards. -Stien 13:57, 18 December 2006 (GMT)
Manatees are invisible. It's also possible that they have died before you got there (by a player's hand, or of old age - apparently monsters don't actually disappear until somebody coud have seen them). Droll 14:47, 18 December 2006 (GMT)
What Droll said. I often have this problem if I'm looking for sea monsters in areas that aren't sailed very often. hendsch 14:54, 18 December 2006 (GMT)
This has been reported before. I'm still wondering if it's a lost cause, or if the idea I proposed earlier (resetting a monster's time-to-live when it's detected by tarot) is feasible.... --Dragon 18:22, 18 December 2006 (GMT)
I must say that the monsters in cities have it all over schrodinger's cat. The great lords don't poke directly at character or monster attributes very often (consider the whole business with the primary key or the changeover from "tame" Gnu-level monsters to "aggressive" Gnu-level monsters. I don't know if the reticence is because they want to preserve continuity or if tinkering in that way just isn't very easy.
I noticed later that the monster was invisible when it told me I was at one, but that still doesn't account to going exactly where the manitee should be and nothing being there... hmm.-Stien
This is my understanding of how it works: You could imagine the game checking every square every hour. Open spaces would check to see if a monster should be created, and monsters would be checked if they should die (monsters die after two weeks). If this happened, the Tarot deck would always be perfect, but the game would essentially shut down every hour while the game checked every square. Instead, whenever a player moves, the nearby open squares are checked to see if a monster should be created and nearby monsters are checked to see if they should die. But the tarot deck doesn't know that's going to happen, it tells you to go find a monster, but as soon as you get close, the monster dies. Or you can have the opposite problem, it tells you the nearest monster is 10 squares away, but you could move a couple squares and have one spawn right next to you. Dragon's idea is to have the monster's death clock reset when it's found by the tarot deck. hendsch 20:48, 18 December 2006 (GMT)

Report 2

I know about how monster spawning works, but this is the reverse happening (tarot deck telling me something is there when it's not):

You spread the cards...
The cards indicate that the nearest one is about 5 squares away to the East South East.
You go East.
You go East.
You go East.
You go East.
You go South.

hmm, should be around here somewhere...

You go South.
You go East.
You go North.
You go South.
You go South.

Well, I can't find it. I'm now 5 squares east and 3 south of where I started. Where is it?

You spread the cards...
The cards indicate that the nearest one is about 15 squares away to the South East.

I am very confident that someone else didn't come along and kill it (this was in the Thick Jungle, and I had to cut my way through). Do monsters only die of old age when someone walks by? --Dragon 05:11, 24 October 2006 (BST)

Correct, they do. Darksatanic 11:02, 24 October 2006 (BST)
Mumble. So is this bug in the "probably won't be fixed" category? --Dragon 17:16, 24 October 2006 (BST)
'fraid not. It's going to be a bit heavyweight to fix even if we tried. Darksatanic 22:50, 24 October 2006 (BST)
Hmm. I certainly don't expect you to rewrite the monster-spawning code (that would probably increase server load a bunch, not to mention the development effort), but I thought of a workaround that doesn't change the spawning/dying patterns. Whenever someone locates a monster with the Tarot Deck, do a check to see if that specific monster is dead/dying, and if so set it to die 6 hours from now instead. Would this be feasible, or does the code just Not Work That Way? --Dragon 07:01, 25 October 2006 (BST)
This is a serious problem if you are hunting in an area that has not seen traffic in a while. If you get deep into the jungles of Oz, for example, the Tarot is just about worthless. Droll 15:21, 30 October 2006 (GMT)

Stall Permit (11 items)

I just opened Forest Treasures outside of windy city, and when I created it, i didn't have the option to manage it. it just said Prop. [devine]. So I moved one square east, and then back and then could manage the stall. The bug tho, is that I still have my original stall permit... SO technically when I break down this stall I'll get another one back right? donkey64.59.47.227 21:00, 30 November 2006 (GMT)

Hydras

Hydras start off with 10000 hp. However, they gain another 10000 hp for each head that is chopped off, making them undefeatable without a glass sword or a golden gun. I'm fairly certain this isn't how they used to be. Gonzometro 19:00, 29 October 2006 (GMT)

Why not? How familiar are you with the hydra of greek legend? macksting 07:10, 31 October 2006 (GMT)
Hydras in Cities used to behave differently. I'm not sure the new behavior is a bug, though... --Dragon 07:26, 31 October 2006 (GMT)
Before, hydras used have one attack per head which equated to about 150+ damage toward the end of its life. They also returned 1000*n gold. Unless this too has changed, I can see no reason to waste a glass sword on a one-headed hydra or 20000*n gold with a golden gun on an n-headed hydra only to get 1000*n gold back. . . .unless they drop something really cool now, but I don't want to be the one who tests that either.Gonzometro 16:15, 2 November 2006 (GMT)

Astrolabe

At a few minutes (~5, maybe more) before the castle moves, the new location disappears from the "It will be at:" list. Droll 21:05, 6 October 2006 (BST)

I'd guess your clock's fast. The server location and the Astrolabe list are one and the same array in the code, so they can't be out of sync. The only time they could get out of sync is during the hourly script run, but that takes no longer than a minute to run. Darksatanic 09:32, 7 October 2006 (BST)
Here's what happened:
  • At a few hours before the castle moves, my Astrolabe says: At Location A, In Location B in 2 hours, In location C in 10 hours. (numbers are approximate)
  • I went one square away from location B. A few minutes before the hour (using my Time and Space ability) the castle is not yet visible and my Astrolabe says: At Location A, In location C in 8 hours.
  • A few minutes later, the castle appears.

Droll 16:10, 11 October 2006 (BST)

OK, this sounds like it needs some deep investigation. I really can't see why (or even how) it might be doing that. Like I said, there's only one list, and it's used to generate both the Astrolabe info and the castle location. Darksatanic 20:50, 11 October 2006 (BST)

Can't board boats at Brighthelm pier

I'm standing at the end of the pier in Brighthelm, the one opposite Holiday Island. Both my small boat and survey vessey have stayed in their bottles, instead of being taken out automatically. Therefore I can't board them to cross the ocean to Holiday Island. I'm sure I have taken this same route to Holiday Island before. -- LittleHamster 23:02, 21 August 2006 (BST)

I came back from Holiday Island via the exact same route a couple of hours ago. Is there someone else standing on the end of the pier with you? If so, perhaps they're already on board a boat (and therefore preventing you from boarding your own). Syagrius 71.111.49.12 23:12, 21 August 2006 (BST)
I know the people standing at the end of the pier. None of us can board our boats. Luckily we have an air ship and we used it to get into the ocean instead. Once in the water, I boarded my survey vessel and found that I can land on and get off the pier with the survey vessel. So the bug only prevents us from boarding in the first place. (That is, the boats stay stubbornly inside the bottles, when they should have been taken out). -- LittleHamster 07:33, 22 August 2006 (BST)
