Council of Great Lords

From Cities

The Great Lords rule the land while paying lip service to the 'king.

Not much is yet known about them. Players should update this page with information on the Great Lords, when discovered. What are their names? Where do they live? What are they like? What style quests and rewards do they seem to give.

Great Lord Andrew

Recently (April 2007) appointed to the Council. Not much is known about Great Lord Andrew, other than the fact that he wears a fedora, has a black Pwny named Cupcake and has cake! As a lover of the arts, he is patron of the performance art guild, The Vaudeville Guild and in this capacity will gladly shake the hand of all performance art lovers.

GL Andrew has a house, recently discovered, in Tresoddit.
His motto: Great Lord Andrew: Neither dark, nor satanic.

Great Lord Boris

First spotted on 16 June 2007. Given his quotations, the name seems to be a reference to Boris Johnson. (Or perhaps he is Boris Johnson....)

He's a really nice guy! I felt really bad when I accidentally stole his hat, but after a little joke (Great Lord Vegetable - hee hee) it was all okay! See the photos on my Clickr page -Clickr:Schnorrer He even pulled a cracker with me so I could have my own hat! (And I got a glass sword - Wow!!) Schnorrer 20:05, 16 June 2007 (BST)
Er, are we really sure this IS a Great Lord, and not just some guy with a Disguise Kit? Thog 21:46, 20 June 2007 (BST)

Great Lord Harvey

Lord Harvey runs the Harvey farm and the animal sanctuary. Citizens of the four cities are invited to help look after orphaned animals in the sanctary. Lord Harvey probably likes fluffy animals.

He wears a red party hat that you can't steal from him.
I think he now wears a pimp hat. It's purple.
He's sitting at 92E 3N at the moment.
Update- Harvey is now positioned at 29E 40N, on an area that is called the Construction Site. It functions as a trading post for now. And he does wear a purple Pimp Hat... that can't be stolen.
Spotted Lord Harvey at 28E 35N on 27 February.
ive recieved a personal palantir from harvey.
Looks like he's developed an interest in photography - Harvey Gallery and Harvey's Photographics.

Has a PhD from this day. Well done, sir! Presumably the thesis is in an arcane field of animal husbandry? -Stelio 18:58, 24 November 2006 (GMT)

Great Lord Ignatz

Rumours have it that Lord Ignatz is fond of his cheese.

Not that far from the truth - was this just a lucky guess? Ignatz 20:16, 29 Jan 2006 (GMT)
I also know that Ignatz is fond of throwing bricks :)
I see Ignatz. I took a pic, you know, tourism and stuff like that. Here zellthemedic 19:18, 3 Feb 2006 (GMT)
Just passing through while visiting one of my new enterprises: selling moat extremely healthy mineral water to parched adventurers. Ignatz 14:11, 6 Feb 2006 (GMT)

Maybe the great Lord Ignatz has a new enterprise? He's currently sitting at "Maps to Stars & Bars" at 5E 7N. Bibi 00:01, 14 February 2006 (GMT)

Lord Ignatz is currently wandering...85E 5N...You throw a snowball at Great Lord Ignatz MD!

You lose a Snowball. 15:03, 19 March 2006 (GMT)

For the past few days at least, maybe even a week or 2, he's been sitting just to the east of the southern market at 83E 5N, I believe. I could be off one or two spaces for the E value, but he's right there. Jatt 20:32, 26 March 2006 (BST)
Has Ignatz lost his lordlihood? He now seems to be just an humble apprentice... Stoo 10:29, 13 April 2007 (BST)

Ignaz has a Retreat, and he's a man who really likes his drink.

Great Lord Ruthven

Not much is known about Lord Ruthven, other than his aversion to garlic and crosses.

Ruthven has an office in the ancient castle. We're not talking a cube-farm white-collar office here either. It's got more of a "Mad Scientist's lair" sort of feel.
I saw Ruthven today having a picnic on top of a mountain. I should have gone and asked for an autograph LittleHamster 21:00, 3 Feb 2006 (GMT)
  • 00:34, 11 April 2006 (BST) Bögnør sauna. Felt obliged, nay, honour-bound, to proffer a snowball. I suspect however that it melted mid-air. Any which way, he took it like a man. Or Great Lord.

Great Lord Yendor

Has anybody ever spotted this Great Lord? I reckon he must live at the bottom of a dungeon or something. Vashka 09:42, 9 Feb 2006 (GMT)

I saw Great Lord Yendor today, he waved to me, and then an official appeared and gave me a fortune cookie :-) Chad 00:14, 14 February 2006 (GMT)
He seesm to like giving people biscuits MrFoo 17:16, 15 February 2006 (GMT)
He is curently at 88E 3N.
I wonder if there is any connection with the fact that Yendor backwards is Rodney, and the new Churches of Rodney in Bögnør. Maybe the Churches percolate through the whole Frozen North. Don Antonio 19:36, 18 February 2006 (GMT)
Great Lord Yednor has been known to practice on a harmonica in the sauna. MrFoo 19:25, 20 February 2006 (GMT)

He gave me a tambourine and a biscuit for reporting a musical instrument bug...except it wasn't me who reported the bug. Oh dear, I feel very guilty. However I am enjoying playing my tambourine. Come and listen to me, little monsters! Be my friends! Vashka 13:12, 4 March 2006 (GMT)

You throw a snowball at Great Lord Yendor!

You lose a Snowball.Spacer one 11:25, 20 March 2006 (GMT)

I shouted down the bottomless pit that I wanted my War Horsie to be a unicorn...GL Yendor heard my plea, showed up and gifted me a toy unicorn! I choose to think it's not an actual "toy" unicorn, but a small (as in toy poodle) unicorn and I will breed it with my horsies to make strange, new horsie breeds... Great Lord Spotting

"Spotting" is not a Great Lord, but he should be.

Three great lords - Yendor, Ignatz and Harvey - all currently sat in the Folk club in Windy City! What is going on? Windy City to become new defacto capital? --Googleplex 20:20, 8 March 2006 (GMT)
