Uses

Drink it to gain 30 AP, minus your caffeine tolerance. Your caffeine tolerance increases by one per mug of coffee you drink. Some coffee is decaffeinated, and therefore useless. You can reset your caffeine tolerance by drinking Dragon Blood (if you're lucky) or at the Betty Fnord Clinic, but invites are rare.

Drinking coffee also sobers you up, by 15% accuracy per mug.

When you're done drinking, you will have an Empty Mug.

At least in the Market, there often seem to be 2 sets of mugs of coffee available. I thought this was a bug for a while, but after buying 1 with my dwindling AP and finding it was decaf, I bought somebody's entire stock (9 more mugs). All of it was decaf. So I guess the type is predetermined, with "decaf coffee" being a distinct type that gets listed separately but named the same - or if the game decides what it is when you drink it, the odds of it being decaf must be huge. --MuppetRabies 03:42, 25 May 2006 (BST)
Manufacturing your own coffee always produces the Real Thing. PotatoEngineer 08:41, 25 May 2006 (BST)
They are two separate types with identical display names. If you pay attention you'll see that there are frequently two different "Mugs of Coffee" in your inventory; one is regular and the other decaf. BlaisedeC 22:17, 25 May 2006 (BST)

State of Perfect Caffination

You lose a Mug of Coffee.
  You gain an Empty Mug.
You feel a bit better. Damn caffeine tolerance.
100 cups of coffee. You enter a state of perfect caffination.

Gave me 100ap and now my mugs of coffee have (decaf) or (proper) after them. It also reset my tolerance.--Ajaswa 19:25, 1 December 2006 (GMT)

You reach a state of perfect caffination at each level of 100, 400 and 900 cups of (proper) coffee drunk. Higher levels probably exist (for all (10*n)^2 mugs of coffee drunk), but have not been reached yet. Flt 21:26, 18 April 2007 (BST)
Hm, it did not happen at 400 neither at 500 mugs of proper coffee drunk, although it did at 100. --213.164.127.143 12:34, 4 May 2007 (BST)
