Thee Hippocratic Order of Flying Doctors

We've all been there: Out in the middle of nowhere, low on hitpoints and either low on bandages or not really feeling like wasting a whole bunch of AP on getting healed. If there's no healer in sight, you're out of luck, right?

WRONG!

All you need to do is call for a flying doctor! Thee Hippocratic Order of Flying Doctors are all fully qualified MDs on call. Summon one of us and you can get healed for the usual fee.

How it works:

  • You get low on health
  • You summon a Flying Doctor (using a Summon Stone as normal)
  • You get healing in the standard "On Call" method

What does it cost?

The usual Doctor-On-Call fee of 50 gold. Plus, of course, you'll lose your Summon Stone when you summon the flying doctor.

Be aware of how the "On Call" method works. When you click on the "On Call" button the player will start to heal you using 5AP for every 10HP healed (I assume). It will stop when either of the following conditions are meet.

  • You are completely healed.
  • The next heal would take the player below 25% of their maxAP.

So if you use the On-Call function and the player stops healing you before you are fully healed this is what happened. If you try to use their On-Call function again within an hour or so, you should only expect to get healed for 10 or maybe 20HP. To get 100HP worth of healing you would need to wait until they generate 50AP over their reserved 25% which could be over 8 hours later. Unfortunately there is no way to tell how many AP they will have at any one time, and thus how much healing you will get for your GP.

How do I Join?

There are only 2 qualifications required to join Thee Hippocratic Order of Flying Doctors

1) You must be a doctor and be on call

2) You must regenerate APs no slower than every 10 minutes.

If you fit these criteria, simply add your name to the bottom of the list!

What if I go off call?

If you go off call, just remove yourself from the list. Likewise, if you know you're going to be busy and won't have any APs for healing folks, please take yourself off the list until you're back in a position to heal people who summon you.

Also if you cannot be summoned (be it the acquisition of a hat, entering as a duelist or flying into space), please remove yourself from the list! Feel free free to re-add yourself whenever you become ready to be summoned and called upon to heal again (like when you win a duel or if some bugger nicks your hat!)

And for the love of god, please remember to log in from time to time so you don't all end up in Limbo!
