Is a Guild Tunnel required for anything? I'm aware in order to secure a Guild Store one needs to place tunnels all around the store and lock the store itself (right?). But do I have to build a tunnel before placing a temple or a comms room? Or do they just act like corridors? Would it be possible to have an entrance square, a temple and a comms room all bunched together, or do they need to be connected by tunnels? --Ade 16:55, 2 August 2007 (BST)
- You can put the other rooms all together. Tunnels don't really do much; they can be used to help lock other rooms and they prevent the rock from regrowing. But strictly speaking they don't seem to be needed for anything. --Dragon 17:30, 2 August 2007 (BST)
- Basically, if you can surround your store room with other rooms, you don't need tunnels. If not, you need to surround the exposed edges with tunnels - a Locker won't prevent someone from digging through rock to loot your Store Room. Of course, if you do surround your Store Room with the Entrance Square, Temple, Trading Post, and Comms Room, you'll need to add a tunnel so new folks can get to the temple. On the other hand, if you don't plan on having a Store Room, you don't need tunnels... -- Thog 17:51, 2 August 2007 (BST)
