Sequencing

So, some horsies have been sequenced (at least partially) - so, what's it all mean? Syagrius 05:10, 3 August 2008 (BST)

From wikipedia: "The genetic code is the set of rules by which information encoded in genetic material (DNA or RNA sequences) is translated into proteins (amino acid sequences) by living cells. Specifically, the code defines a mapping between tri-nucleotide sequences called codons, and amino acids; every triplet of nucleotides in a nucleic acid sequence specifies a single amino acid."
Warning: Stream of consciousness dump follows! We have 24 letters, which is 8 lots of codons. Horsies have 4 different things that make them up: alignment, sex, quark, and colour. It may be that each of these is made up of six letters. (The other theory is that each string starts with a "start codon" of three letters the same for each horsie, but then that leaves us with 18 codons (6 pairs), which doesn't seem to be enough for the four horsie elements).
As for what all this actually means ... we need more data! :) -- Rhapsodie 05:53, 3 August 2008 (BST)

Hehe - I knew that already - I wanted to know what knowing all the letters actually means in the grand scheme of cities life. Will knowing all of them for all the horsies actually let one predict the offspring with any more certainty than now? :) Syagrius 06:04, 3 August 2008 (BST)
Glad you knew it because I had to look it up! :P I think once we know what they all mean, yes, it will. -- Rhapsodie 06:12, 3 August 2008 (BST)

Coat

Either this lab coat is not coded yet, is a reward from another quest, or is a drop. It is currently not in my Wizard Recipe Book. I am very interested to see this finally come to the game, though. --Ade 04:38, 21 July 2008 (BST)
