Undead Dragon Bounty Hunter
I have decided to go into business as a bounty hunter specialising in Undead Dragons. How this will work, is that you sign up for the quest, track down the beast, and then after negotiating terms, summon me. I will then take the fiend down to less than 50hp, so that you can finish it off. My rates are reasonable, and for the very first person to take out a contract, there is an extra special offer, with only a slight catch. I will do the deed for a single bag of coffee beans, provided you first find me an Undead Dragon that I can hone my skills on by killing outright. You get the *second* Undead Dragon that I will weaken for you.

- How do you kill a thing that has 1500 HP and is immune to alignment change and powerful weapons? Have people been winning against this thing? If so, how? Leoth 69.106.1.165 00:56, 14 March 2006 (GMT)
- One way is to beat on it with an aligned bow or merz bow (for multiple hits against it vs one hit back) - for a lot of damage at one go, a lance or triffid sting can be pretty handy. Personally, I like the midas wand. Killed in one shot, a dragon stone, and 1500 gold back to boot! You don't get any XP for doing it that way though. Syagrius 01:06, 14 March 2006 (GMT)
- DO NOT use a dragon spear on the undead dragon. Could rank right up there with suicide... Syagrius 01:07, 14 March 2006 (GMT)
- Bring LOTS of Clean Bandages. -- Sertularian 01:10, 14 March 2006 (GMT)

Will whoever killed the undead Dragon on or about April 9th please return my body? I mean come on! I took care of the first 600 HP on the dragon for you! The least you could do is return my property. - MasterPete
- I've started making arrows. Whoever returns my body will get 200 Arrows as a reward. Anybody? - Masterpete
BTW, the Undead Dragon's currently hanging out north of 66E 36N. Nobody's here, and I've already killed it (and have no Midas Wand to do so a second time) so I figured I'd leave it be. -- Durkon 19:02, 1 May 2006 (BST)
- I have spotted one at 29E 27N. I am too weak to defeat it now, but maybe someone else wants to give it a go? It might be an illusion though, I don't know how to check for that --Conzy 12:59, 8 June 2006 (BST)

- Is this considered a quest or just about gaining the reward(Dragon Stone)? Because it doesnt seems to indicate that "You have killed an Undead Dragon" in the "ME". e.bstan 01:52, 26 Dec 2005 (GMT)
- It does now :) Moj 10:10, 11 February 2006 (GMT)
- Are you sure?? still there is nothing in my "ME" page. i tried to visit the Temple of Water and there was no option as well. (wondering whether i had completed this one, i killed a few undead dragon though). e.bstan 11:41, 12 February 2006 (GMT)
- The user stat was set by looking at the number of kills - which may have gone down to 0 if you did it a long time ago (with the monthly halving thing going on). Unfortunately no other way to tell (as dragon stones are tradable), so you'll have to kill another one if you want to see it there :) Moj 12:13, 12 February 2006 (GMT)
- The game seems to know that I've killed the undead dragon. I'm not able to sign up for the undead dragon quest at the temple of water, but I have lost the intrinsic ability to locate the undead dragon. I don't mind having to kill it again to get the line on my "me" page, but can I either be allowed sign up for the quest again or otherwise have the location intrinsic be restored? - Does it count as completing this if you locate the dragon via a Tarot deck? I wouldn't like to fight it only to discover that due to not going via the Water Temple, I don't get the Dragon Stone drop. --Hotchpotch 22:52, 6 May 2006 (BST)
- You seem to be asking two questions. If you only care about the Dragon Stone, you should get one regardless. If you care about completing the quest, you probably have to sign up first. --Dragon 00:24, 7 May 2006 (BST)
To the next person who kills the Dragon, I hope you choke on the stone. I just died having taken it down to 5HP. Bastard. ELeeming 17:20, 1 June 2006 (BST)
Is it normal to take 40 HP from this beast's standard attack? That's what seems to be happening to me, in addition to all the lovely side effects (i.e. extra damage, AP loss, and all that jazz). I'm Earth aligned, and it's not Fire aligned (like I'd be stupid enough to do something like THAT), yet it still does 40 damage when it hits on top of the extra nastiness. As luck would have it, I'm right at a Trading Post while I'm fighting this thing, so if anybody is willing to donate an Earth Bow, a good supply of arrows, and several dozen Clean Bandages to the cause, I can summon you to my location, and we can work something out. Mad Steve 03:55, 1 July 2006 (BST)
I ran out of AP after getting rid of more than half of its hit points, taking various damage and using lots of bandages etc. When I returned to the fight just now it had disappeared! Surely people can't kill one of these when it's already engaged in combat with someone else? Being a quest and all? Teacake 13:15, 31 July 2006 (BST)
- They can, and do. There's no lock on monsters to say only certain people can attack. If you hit it with a Dibs Wand it'd say "Teacake has dibs" under it, but that's the best you can do. MrFoo 13:58, 31 July 2006 (BST)
I finally killed the undead dragon by breaking out my precious store of triffid stings. At 60 damage they come in quite handy. So may be worth killing a few triffids before tackling the undead dragon. Oh, and pack lots of bandages. I think I used about 35. 13:47, 30 August 2006 (BST)
- Triffid stings are quite valuable. I guess you are better of selling them on a market and buying a mindas wand for the revenue. - Eldred
9 attacks?
I was wondering around and came upon it so I attacked it. I was almost slaughtered. Since when does it have nine attacks?
- Beware of people using dragon spears to fight it. I had to fight it when it had over 2700 hit points. --Vainglory 06:35, 4 December 2007 (GMT)
Heads of the Gorgan
If anyone wanted to know, HotG work just fine on the dragon. - Cameron 03:09, 29 January 2008 (GMT)
- I wondered what happened to the one I was saving up AP to attack.parking_god 03:53, 29 January 2008 (GMT)
- I'm guessing that it got turned to stone. Sorry. Where you going to use a one-hit kill weapon? If you were, may I say that Fags can be very useful for times like that, the extra few AP can really help you along. If you weren't going to use a one-hit kill weapon, someone else would have just killed it when it was weakened. Sorry again. - Cameron 04:40, 29 January 2008 (GMT)
- No prob. I would much rather lose it before I started attacking it than weaken it (and myself) badly, then lose it while I regenerated AP.parking_god 14:58, 29 January 2008 (GMT)

Dragon Stone
This article says that the Dragon Stone performs first aid (5HP for 5AP), but becoming a doctor already lets you do this for less (10HP for 5AP). Seems a bit ridiculous considering this is quite a challenging quest. The full heal for 50AP is nice is nice, though. Fraggle 12:20, 21 April 2008 (BST)
- right, right, the dragon stone is never meant to be the perfect way to heal one's self. It's meant to be a way to get healing when you have no other method. A healer is much cheaper than a full heal from a dragon stone, but they are not always handy. A clean bandage is better than a dragon stone, but what if you don't have one? I would bet most people only ever use the full heal option, and then only when they can't easily get to a healer. density 14:42, 24 April 2008 (BST)
