Only 2 levels of training available at Dojo. To continue training, you must then go to Ninja Island.

  • Do I have to ask about further training from the master at the Dojo before attempting at Ninja Island? I got sent to prison after I forgot about any AP for the baby and got send to jail before I had the chance to ask. Kira 03:23, 19 February 2006 (GMT)
No you don't have to. and no training is available in the Ninja Island at the moment. e.bstan 03:31, 19 February 2006 (GMT)

ok the two skills you learn are retarded. why would i spend so much time and valuble weapons to do less damage then my snark does, and i cant lose my snark. i think this quest is pointless.akash 20:37, 25 February 2006 (GMT)

agreed. i can use an earth wand and the fire punch for the same damage as the painful punch except less painful to me. 130.85.233.115 15:05, 26 February 2006 (GMT)
It's for those who don't have a snark and don't want to lose weapons and wands on such monsters as tars and ninjas. Kira 16:51, 26 February 2006 (GMT)
Well let's see. I'll work it out for me, and you can do similar for yourself to see which is better.
Painful punch: 20 damage x 0.7 to hit = 14 average damage
Brunch punch (at brunch): 15 damage x 0.9 to hit = 13.5 average damage
Brunch punch (other): 5 damage x 0.9 to hit = 4.5 average damage
Poke of 'death': 5 damage x 0.6 to hit x 3 turns = 9 average damage
All of those are per attempt - so I think poke of death loses in terms of AP every time, but if you don't want the other monster to hit you much, then it's better than brunch punch during the day. Of course, if you've got lots of HP to spare, then the few damage you take from painful punch won't be too much of a problem, and the 20 damage kicks bottom :)
Of course, as you say Poke of Death can do as much damage as Brunch Punch at brunch - but it's not likely. Ant 12:42, 5 March 2006 (GMT)
I don't believe Tars have been mentioned. I'd rather lose HP fighting tars than lose all my wands. Doc Mackie 09:05, 23 March 2006 (GMT)
