So what are we hunting? Katerwaul 15:43, 17 April 2007 (BST)
If you are a Shaman, you get no message. Knights only, I guess. :( hendsch 15:47, 17 April 2007 (BST)
- Interestingly enough, armourers *did* get the message. Probably because it's a major source of income... -- Thog 16:45, 17 April 2007 (BST)
From IRC:
<cjg_> 3 new levels for... <cjg_> OK. This quest *should* take everyone a while.. <cjg_> Join the military... <cjg_> new levels for knights!
Snare 16:07, 17 April 2007 (BST)
Two of those monsters stand out: Shrieking Harpy (never heard of them) and Woolly Mammoth (High Plateau?). - Isambard 16:52, 17 April 2007 (BST)
- Harpys spawn around bowling alleys and Woolly Mammoth's are currently unreleased. Kaos Dragon 17:05, 17 April 2007 (BST)
How does one "bag?" Does it just involve killing them after starting the quest, or is there something else as well? I plan on starting this quest very quickly. -- X-Himy 17:53, 17 April 2007 (BST)
- It's just killing the monster. Simple as that. You get a little message saying you added it to your trophies and it's off your list. Kaos Dragon 18:30, 17 April 2007 (BST)
So I take it any kills before starting the quest don't count?--Hamelin 18:31, 17 April 2007 (BST)
- Should the free armourer start making cabinets?
Hmm. Perhaps wizards can now summon people to the Alternate Ocean? I hope this isn't implying you have to become a wizard to finish this quest... -- Thog 23:05, 17 April 2007 (BST)

quest name
I think this quest should be referred to as "Trophy Cabinet" as that is more closely the target suggested by General Cooke, rather than HuntingLodge which is the terrain... - jmb 19:21, 17 April 2007 (BST)
- Seconded. So, when do we move it? :) Snarfer 15:41, 21 April 2007 (BST)
- Or perhaps "Military Service", in fact, as "Trophy Cabinet" is also just an incidental tool for measurement purposes... - 62.3.255.22 17:20, 25 April 2007 (BST)
There have been no complaints, so I'm doing this now. - jmb 11:59, 29 April 2007 (BST)
Little Tidbits
The "trick" ways to kill certain creatures counts as a kill as far as this quest is concerned. So feel free to say "it" to Knights Who Say Ni; use stones, pairs of scissors, and sheets of paper on Scissor Beasts, Origami Ogres, and Rock Trolls (as well as their smaller brethren); and Ghost Hunters Gear works for those ghosts listed. Snare 20:14, 17 April 2007 (BST)
- This is not entirely true. Giving a Parrot a fish did not count as a trophy kill. Keep on the lookout to see if any of the other methods do not work. -- X-Himy 15:10, 19 April 2007 (BST)
- I can report that using a Pointed Stick on a Vampire works, anyone know if pointy-sticking an Aurora Boreanaz counts for the Aurora Borealis? --naath 11:56, 20 April 2007 (BST)
- Yes --Duke angelsk MD 08:24, 25 April 2007 (BST)
- Using your Box of Matches on a Stoner works for the Trophy. Sir Garry 23:30, 27 April 2007 (BST)
Catching a Hungry Ghost with a Spirit Catcher does not count. Had to slay another one to get the trophy message. 87.160.107.34 12:20, 5 May 2007 (BST)
Title
- "You get the title Private (Pvt)" - does this replace Sir/Duke/ etc?
- No, it's there in addition. --Duke Pvt. dragon MD 16:49, 18 April 2007 (BST)
- Thanks! --Duke angelsk MD 16:55, 18 April 2007 (BST)
- Had I known about this, I'd have named my character "Parts" right from the beginning and never gone past the first part of the quest.
- Thanks! --Duke angelsk MD 16:55, 18 April 2007 (BST)
- No, it's there in addition. --Duke Pvt. dragon MD 16:49, 18 April 2007 (BST)
- If someone has a load of free time, it would be interesting to know if these new titles carry over into other careers. Gonzometro 16:42, 19 April 2007 (BST)
- They don't. Darksatanic 16:56, 19 April 2007 (BST)
- Hmm. I assume the additional damage modifer also doesn't transfer when you change profession? Andrewsi 08:41, 21 April 2007 (BST)
- They don't. Darksatanic 16:56, 19 April 2007 (BST)
Trophies Which Really Shouldn't Qualify
Ants. Can you imagine stuffing and mounting an ant? Illusions. Read the following:
You attack the Omar the Ice Troll. You cause 1 points of damage, and receive 0 experience. It was just an illusion! You slay the Omar the Ice Troll. You add the trophy to your case!
So very, very wrong. Doc Mackie 23:12, 20 April 2007 (BST)
- Er, it doesn't count. All monsters are "trophyable" in that they give the trophy message, but only the 178 monsters listed in the quest count towards the quest. I imagine it was much easier to program "keep track of every possible monster that hasn't been killed since the cabinet opened" than "keep track of only these 178 monsters". PotatoEngineer 02:42, 21 April 2007 (BST)
- There's another reason for it: by recording the actual kills independent of the required list, the required list can change (include additional monsters) w/o people getting annoyed like "I did kill this one since I got my cab! Dammit!". Snarfer 15:40, 21 April 2007 (BST)
Kangaroos
Has anyone managed to get one yet? The only place they're mentioned in the wiki is on the military service pages, and there's no listing in the top kills or on Big Brother. --smudgepuss 12:13, 20 October 2007 (BST)
