I've been trying to figure this out for a while now. I have no option to make cake when I select things like eggs and cream (even tried cheese slices in case it was a cheesecake). I know Thog figured it out, and says the name and location are a hint, so let's brainstorm about what this might be. A quick google search returned no interesting results regarding people named Paul at a bivouac, nor anything regarding Los Laputas. I also tried anagrams to no avail. Hence, I'm back to the drawing board. Anyone else have any luck? If you know, am I on the right track? --JAD 19:15, 11 December 2006 (GMT)

I think the relevant location is Oz itself. Also, you can't make the cake directly, you have to do something to a different type of cake. Vashka 19:56, 11 December 2006 (GMT)
There's no specific location required for this quest (other than Paul's camp to give him the cake once you've got it). Darksatanic 20:20, 11 December 2006 (GMT)
Paul Hogan → Crocodile Dundee → Dundee Cake?
There aren't any other kinds of cake in build.xml. Has anyone tried a Slice of Dundee Cake? - Isambard 22:20, 11 December 2006 (GMT)
Slice of Dundee Cake doesn't work, he just says "where's the cake then." I get no options to modify sliced cake. Now I wish I could put my cake back together. It's just not worth it to try to play these "guess the random combination" quests. hendsch 13:06, 12 December 2006 (GMT)
At the risk of making it too easy, the new cake isn't in build.xml for the same reason that Eggs and Bacon aren't -- Thog 14:37, 12 December 2006 (GMT)
That does make it easier (although I have to admit I never would have tried that on my own, despite it being relatively straightforward). Thanks, Thog. --JAD 15:02, 12 December 2006 (GMT)
Was Thog the person looking for onions to try a quiche on the guy? And whoever it was, does anyone know the results? -Jon 22:35, 11 December 2006 (GMT)
Cities:Conversation#Onions - that wasn't Thog. Quiche doesn't require onions though, does it? It could be a quiche, even though quiche isn't cake. - Isambard 22:51, 11 December 2006 (GMT)
Yes, I was just thinking that (the Paul Hogan thing). If it has something to do with Oz, I'm still lost. I know of no other cake besides Dundee, and I didn't want to make another one of those unless I was sure that I could sprinkle something over the top to make it "just right." I'm getting ready to start totems, so it will be a while before I leave Oz to go find more ingredients. Perhaps adding a few crocodile scales to a Dundee cake? Sounds gross, but apparently this Paul guy eats bugs, so I doubt he'd mind. --JAD 23:51, 11 December 2006 (GMT)
I was the one looking for onions. I made the quiche, but it didn't work. It's not cake after all (although I have some friends that would debate whether something is or isn't cake for hours and end up deciding it's pie). My guess is that it's an altered form of dundee cake. vloodo 03:53, 12 December 2006 (GMT)
Is this an item that is not on the item list pages, because you say you get it from doing something like bacon and eggs, but I looked through the item pages hoping to find something to tickle my intuition and saw nothing there that would fit the bill. Maybe purhaps the reason we are having such a trouble with this is because someone is hording the information about a new item and about how to achieve it? Or not...-Stien
They are indeed holding information, but they talked about a croccodile dundee. I don't know if I figured it right but it seems a good clue--Solune 08:53, 13 December 2006 (GMT)
Ah, so maybe you fight a crocodile with dundee cake? -Stien
So how much longer are we gonna hold on to this secret? Should we tell it now? -Stien 21:54, 14 December 2006 (GMT)
Well, given that it's been a while (and the secret isn't half the quest, like Becoming an Armourer), I'm all for disclosing it. What do other folks think? -- Thog 14:15, 15 December 2006 (GMT)
Disclosure seens the best ancev 14:40, 15 December 2006 (GMT-3)
Okay, I've updated the page with the real information. -- Thog 02:51, 18 December 2006 (GMT)
The log of my relevant activities (an utter spoiler) is here. -- Sertularian 15:50, 17 December 2006 (GMT)

Okay so I have the Crocodile Dundee Cake and I'm at Paul's bivoack and I have the cake in hand and... nothing. Do I have to have completed the Jock McStrapp quest first or something? PlanetNiles 06:06, 1 March 2007 (GMT)
