Last time I made one, the pint of milk was the catalyst. Syagrius 19:42, 29 March 2006 (BST)
- We're moving away from catalyst items, to a system where you can build something by holding any one of its components. We've migrated quite a bit of it already. Darksatanic 19:50, 29 March 2006 (BST)
- The definition of a catalyst is a substance that is not used up in the reaction. It sounds like there might be a misunderstanding here. The comment made by DarkSatanic seems to start off by saying there won't be catalysts (implying everything gets used up), but then seems to simply suggest that you can hold any constituent of the recipe (catalyst or reagent) and still have the UI offer you the choice to build/cook/assemble/etc. This latter seems the most likely, judging from what I've experienced in play. If Syagrius was using "catalyst" in the normal sense or the word, then he seems to be suggesting that whereas before, the milk was left over, now it is the vodka. Am I right? --Hotchpotch 09:35, 2 June 2006 (BST)
- In the formal definitions, you are correct - however, what I was saying was that one used to have to hold the pint of milk to be able to make a white russian. I haven't tried it lately to see if this has changed. :) Syagrius 14:03, 2 June 2006 (BST)
