Axe

The Copper Axe is not included here and is not used in a similar fashion. You can Chop on a forest square for 50AP to log large amounts of wood (25AP for a Silver Axe). Continued logging yields diminishing returns and can severely alter the tile. These axes give a 5X bonus against non-generic treemen (e.g. Oak Treeman). They can also clear Thick Jungle efficiently: 2 AP for metal axes, 5 AP for stone. Metal axes are makeable by armourers only, stone axes can be made by anyone. Durability and logging yields increase with better metals. They typically break into ~100-500 bits of metal, stone axes return the string.

Bronze Axe

Made from 500 Bits of Bronze and 2 Pieces of Wood

Iron Axe

Made from 500 Bits of Iron and 2 Pieces of Wood.

Misril Axe

Made from 500 Bits of Misril and 2 Pieces of Ancient Wood.

Silver Axe

Made from 500 Bits of Silver and 2 Pieces of Ancient Wood

Costs only 25AP to log forest instead of the usual 50AP.

Stone Axe

Made from a String, a Sharp Flint and a Piece of Wood.

Anvil

Gained from a Roadrunner. Getting one is the last step to becoming an Armourer.

Ball Mill

(Start stockpiling sulphur, charcoal and saltpetre - ball mills are used to manufacture gunpowder - oh yes!)

You need to have been trained in order to be able to use this.

Billy Can

Drops from Goats. Like a bucket, it can be used to milk animals.

Blacksmith's Tongs

One of the tools needed to make a File.

Bucket

Useful for milking bovines. Attack cows using the Bucket for 1 pint of milk. Each cow can only be milked once, after which they need time to produce more.
