My character
How I died (stupidly)
first time against a young rock troll. I was quietly playing paper-rock-cisors, and then that big dumb troll decides to strike back !
second time I can't remember. Although I spent 2 days raging about my stupidity.
third time was the only one I proud of. Before killing a duelist with a glass sword, I thought I should give every one a chance, and stood unarmed in the middle of Northern market.
fourth time was pretty stupid too. I had 20 HP left, didn't check on the monster table and that perky norx got me 21 HP. Decided that I would not die again and consequently didn't take an insurance policy.
fifth time and onwards to the sixth!! Those monsters in the south are really too powerful, and they drop nothing. For once I'm happy to have died (from 10 asbos if you want to know). It's time to get back to some serious business, like drinking my way around cities' pubs. I also took the time to develop my new character: User:Yitscar
sixth. While farming a phoenix. I had it at level 22 I think, and I forgot to heal myself. I will have my revenge! There shall be no phoenixes left when I'm done!

Events
Open Mic' night
one week after
Great Lord Yendor's image appears looking rather unkempt. "Thanks for singing at my Club! It was an exciting evening, wasn't it? As you're interested in our folk music I'd like to teach you a lively folk rock tune from across the Southern Ocean. There's a bit of magic in it, so I thought it safer to wait until the other Great Lords stopped messing around with the fabric of the universe before I taught it to anyone." You sing along but it doesn't seem quite right without an accompaniment. While he plays you help yourself to one of his special biscuits. You gain a Magic Cookie.
current level of talent
you're a very talented musician you're an extremely good musician you rock
...and back to zero after 2 months not playing
Third open mic' night
Great Lord Yendor's image appears, unshaven and with tinsel around his hat. "Ahoy there matey! Thanks for playing at my Club! In keeping with the nautical theme I'd like to teach you a lively hornpipe I learned from an old salt from the Isle of Fright: it's an ancient song giving thanks to the wind for bringing the sailor back swiftly to their loved ones. No doubt a fellow lover of folk music like yourself will enjoy it, and maybe it will keep you company if you're ever out at sea on a cold night. There's something magic about it, so listen carefully..." You learn the tune but fumble a few times. You'd probably better practise. While he plays you help yourself to a few of his special biscuits. There's also some interesting looking miniature bottles inside his upturned hat. You gain 2 Magic Cookies. You gain 8 Bottles of Grog.

quotes from the game
Jason says "Pogues Mahone!" Jason says "Hobbit?" Jason says "Do you think I give a $£¤#?" Jason says "Its Pimms O'Clock!" Jason says "Do you really think I care?" Jason says "Your round..." Jason says "The meek ain't gonna inherrit ¤£µ%§&" Jason says "War and peas show?"
- Jason is a RL friend of Elseware's. I assume these are actual quotes. --Dragon 22:16, 18 November 2006 (GMT)
You lose 30 Bunches of Grapes. You gain 30 Crushed Bunches of Grapes. You make like Stu Francis.
You lose 3 Crushed Bunches of Grapes. You lose 3 Empty Bottles. You gain 3 Bottles of Wine. You have made a Bottle of Plonk.
- I take it that you're not from Blighty then. :-) Plonk is a British slang term for wine, typically cheap wine that gets one drunk easily. Stelio 13:25, 26 September 2006 (BST)
You lose 3 Bits of Molten Glass. You gain 3 Empty Jars. You blow a jar. Better close yourself!
- You "blew ajar", like a door. :) -- Sertularian 16:06, 3 September 2006 (BST)
- No... I can't believe it... not that bad !--Solune 18:11, 3 September 2006 (BST)
You lose an Empty Jar. You lose a Crushed Bunch of Grapes. You gain a Jar of Grape Jam. and I hope you like Jammin too.
- I believe this goes with the message from making a Jar of Plum Jam. IIRC, it's something like "I like Jammin with you". Maybe they're lyrics from a song? Random4518 12:42, 4 September 2006 (BST)
- Seems to be from "Jammin'", by Bob Marley. (lyrics here)] -- Sertularian 15:11, 4 September 2006 (BST)
Things
You dig. You find a magic apple! You place it on the ground and wait. After a while a Thunderbird wonders into view. It ignores you totally and eats some of the apple. A noise startles you and you look behind you. When you look back both apple and creature have gone. Thinking back, you remember your mother telling you that you were born under the sign of the Thunderbird! You lose a Magic Compass.
You slay the Fenris Wolf. The God Heimdall appears before you, and says: 'Well done, little human. You have vanquished the Fenris Wolf, but this is only one battle among many fought here.' 'You are welcome to join our battle company. When you die, you will come to Valhalla. If you wish to return here before your glorious death in battle, blow upon my Horn again.'
Jock probably says 'Just right. Thank you.' He offers you some of his orange brew. You feel stronger and faster. You lose a Dundee Cake.
A good way to get experience:
You attack the Pvt. Duke solune MD. You cause 192 points of damage, and receive 110592 experience. You lose a Quarrel. You attack the Pvt. Duke solune MD. You cause 192 points of damage, and receive 110592 experience. You lose a Quarrel.
Does anyone know a better XP/AP gain ?
