The Living Tar

For the moment, I have not much to tell, a Living Tar just ate my weapons. I guess I was too cocky to give up, I got a little carried away when he ate my first bow, I wanted to see tar-blood :-)

But now I have no more AP, I got totally drunk to restore my HP and I lost most of my interesting weapons while he (she? it? dza?) is just waving his tentacles.

I will refine my Kung Fu grips and I will show him...

Does anybody want to help me restore my lost arrows (I lost pllllenty)?

Not that many arrows. I'm not sure if arrows are collected by the tar or absorbed too. I just made it across the desert so I can't easily trade with you. If/when I make it back to civilization I would be happy to set you up with some things. I will try and see if one of my friends back home can lend you some aid. I'll ask them to palantir you if they can. Where abouts are you currently located? Halfmoon 14:07, 30 March 2006 (BST)
Thanks a lot Halfmoon, but then please do not worry. I have cracked a Water Talisman and I joined Macksting at the Swap Shop in Wather City. I am still ok, if only a handful of arrow survived the tar, then please keep them. Let me know something if you arrive back in civilization, if I am in the neighbourhood and I can help you with something, just let me know. Thanks - Conzy 14:37, 30 March 2006 (BST)

Hi, I see you haven't done the gauntlet yet. If you're patient enough to wait until you are a wizard there are a few interesting spells to try: invisibility, enhanced invisibility, toad, hop and skip, etc. Although it is easier and cheaper to just kill the beasts, it would be fun to go through the gaunlet without any fight. If you decide to go anyway, don't worry too much about it: you have enough hit points not to pack any bandages--Solune 13:50, 4 January 2007 (GMT)

Martial Arts

While I'm rather too busy to replenish your arrow supply (seeing as how the Air Bow is my second favorite weapon), I'd be willing to accept small trade if you would like to borrow my martial arts books. I'm the martial arts teacher (i.e., holder of the books) for the Knights of the Order of Tubthumping. Had you died to that Tar, we woulda been the resource to tap for killing it and getting your corpse back.

Anyway, if you're willing to trade a bit for borrowing them, such as a few empty jars or empty bottles, I'd be more than happy to let you read the whole kit and kaboodle. I'm at the Swap Shop for the moment, and would also happily meet you there shortly afterward should you somehow miss me. (Swap Shop is in Water City, east northeast of the shrine.) Please palantir me or leave me a message on my User's discussion page. (Analogous to this one.)macksting 03:16, 30 March 2006 (BST)

More Martial Arts

Welcome. Do you still need to borrow the martial arts books? I'd be happy to lend 'em. macksting 21:40, 26 September 2006 (BST)

It's come up on the Conversation page. Nobody knows, or if they do, they aren't saying. macksting 21:58, 26 September 2006 (BST)

On Your Recent Demise

Insured, I'm guessing. :) Well, summoned are you! No problem. However, the party ends soon, so you'll need a ride to the next one. If nobody can offer one, I suppose you can call on me again; CoD is CoD. macksting 09:09, 8 January 2007 (GMT)

No sweat.
CoD = Community of the Disadvantages, or Deceased if you prefer. Doc Mackie 10:34, 8 January 2007 (GMT)
Addendum. Yes, you'll need to reactivate the policy for an additional 10 AP at your shrine or branch office.
Oh yeah. Solune points out that the new party will incur a new joining cost before it's useful, payable only when you have the AP to activate it. In short, you couldn't join the party even if I summoned you to it. macksting 18:19, 8 January 2007 (GMT)
Yeah... See ya then, if I'm not elsewhere. Keep in touch! macksting 03:17, 9 January 2007 (GMT)

is the knight still there? i don't need a summons because i am near that point anyway, it is just a little detour on my way to the next dragon. --Schwarz 19:20, 24 April 2006 (BST)

I am Water aligned and interested in Joining the Group. I have grown 33 Cucumbers (enough for 4 players for the Standing Stones, Treasure Hunt and Cucumber Sandwiches) already. I am also interested in Cooperating on the Standing Stones and Treasure Hunt.

Since i am very near the parkbench i will meet with Blueflame there. --Schwarz 21:00, 13 June 2006 (BST) Wanda

I'm on the dojo quest too and i too need a hard and pointy stick. it's basically a sharpened piece of ancient wood. i just bought a couple of pieces of ancient wood and i am now smelting copper for copper axes. if you are interested i can offer to lend one of them to you (i have enough for 2 axes) for hunting treemen. --Taifun 21:17, 4 October 2006 (BST)

i can, but i will need about 14 hours to regain ap. at the southern market were over 30 pieces of ancient wood for 7750 for sale, if you need it earlier this might be the place to go. --Taifun 22:45, 4 October 2006 (BST)

Hi Conzy, I could trade you some Stings for your Rocks. Let me know when/where/how many. If we can set something up at a Trading Post near a Standing Stone that would be ideal; if not I can meet anywhere in the Four Cities. --Dragon 18:17, 5 May 2006 (BST)

OK, I'm at the Park Bench. How many Stings do you want? --Dragon 04:51, 8 May 2006 (BST)
Gave you 6 Stings and an Antidote. --Dragon 17:48, 8 May 2006 (BST)

Response to your post on my user page (duped there too): That's just fine...however, please leave the bag with my alter-ego, Meteu, as he is closer in in need of more books. Thanks! 17:14, 10 May 2006 (BST)

I'll be happy to join your sandwich-making group. BlaisedeC 01:41, 17 May 2006 (BST)

Sorry, I was unclear. BlueFlame (my Fire character) will be happy to join. BlaisedeC 15:24, 17 May 2006 (BST)
We can probably get things underway; if your inventory is public I'll set up a worksheet for us once the game is back online. BlaisedeC 23:54, 18 May 2006 (BST)
I've added Wanda into the worksheet; I'll have it posted in about 8 hours. BlaisedeC 07:21, 30 May 2006 (BST)
The worksheet is finally up. BlaisedeC 17:01, 8 June 2006 (BST)

I'm not in any particular hurry; I'm at the Park Bench now, but won't be able to log on until this evening. In the next hour or two, I'll be revising the plan based on current inventories. BlaisedeC 14:31, 13 June 2006 (BST)

Yo, I've got a few extra D20s you can have. Also, if you still need Air help for sandwiches, I'm a slicing dicing machine. -- Celane 16:24, 24 May 2006 (BST)

I'm currently at the trading post just north of Standing Stone I, which means I can zap over to near where you are pretty easily. And thanks for the offer of cards, but the Bomb Squad's a long ways off for me, and I'm not really looking for that right now; I'm collecting for Hard Knocks at the moment, and quite close at that. (So sick of low HP!) -- Celane 22:21, 24 May 2006 (BST)
Actually, can I get you to do some spinning for me for winter survival purposes? It's a hard skill for me. -- Celane 01:48, 25 May 2006 (BST)
Oh my! That should be plenty! Distaffs are catalysts so one is enough, and as to carded wool I have twenty wads to give you; carding is a 'class skill' for me, so if you have more fleeces you want carded into raw wool, I'm your woman.
I'd like 60 Short Wools (enough for six Balls of Wool and some mending materials left over). In return I will give you my slicing skills, a Glass Sword that fell off a Penguin yesterday, 2d20, and an Earth Knife, plus whatever else I have that you'd like. I'll be back in the interior in a day or so; at the moment I'm trekking up to see Thor and get that marked off my quest list. -- Celane 18:18, 25 May 2006 (BST)
Well, some RLOs have come up so I won't be online again until Tuesday. I'm going to hole up at the monastery next to Standing Stone VII, and come find you when I get back. Hope that's all right. -- Celane 16:12, 26 May 2006 (BST)

I'm back and ready to slice, dice, and trade, standing on Stone VII at the moment. Whereabouts would you like to meet? -- Celane 17:53, 1 June 2006 (BST)

The RLO went wonderfully, thanks.  :) Mmm, shiny wool! Since you have them, I'd like 16 of the Wools and 10 Short Wools. Oh, and I have some presents for you. At the moment I'm out of AP (silly crocodiles!) but will pop by (29,29) in a few hours. -- Celane 22:03, 1 June 2006 (BST)
Sadly, I have no lager. Hmm. You can get the Absinthe you need for the Treasure Hunt at the Temple of Love for 2000 gold. Thank you very much for your massive contribution of wool to my Northern expedition stash! I've handed over a few weapons you might like and a Spade, as I noticed you have treasure maps but no way to claim them. Take care and please let me know when and where you need things sliced (bread, cucumbers, crocodiles...) -- Celane 16:38, 2 June 2006 (BST)

Hello! Sorry I've been out of touch, I was gone for a month and when I came back there was all sorts of new stuff. I should mosey on along back one of these days, though... I probably have a couple thousand AP saved up by now on Holiday Island! -- Celane 07:29, 3 November 2006 (GMT)

Check out Rhapsodie's lament. While not blues, exactly, it's great.  :) -- Sertularian 12:22, 2 March 2007 (GMT)

Pardon me for listening in, but I've got a flying fish that I'd trade for 10 sulphur. I can meet you in fire city if you'd like.

If you'd like to trade me 100 sulphur, I'll trade the flying fish, a Merz bow, and 200 arrows.

Do you happen to have any of the following CDs "All the things you need", "Relax", "Where is my Man" or "It's a Sin." (You've got your inventory set to "spares" so I can't tell) I'd accept less sulphur if you were willing to trade any of those. Hendsch 13:58, 26 September 2006 (BST)

I do have a lion fish. I'm not really interested in records, are you willing to trade sulphur? I don't have an axe made, but I do have 500 copper bits and a piece of ancient wood, which you should be able to beat into an axe for 30AP. I'd trade the copper, the piece of ancient wood, and the Lion Fish to you for 50 sulphur. Hendsch 14:59, 26 September 2006 (BST)
I sent them. Recieved? Hendsch 15:17, 26 September 2006 (BST)
No problem. I'm not fast, I was already here. If you are relying on the counter to tell you how long it will take to be positive, it's using the normal AP recovery rate rather than the double fast AP recovery rate you have at the party. Hendsch 15:30, 26 September 2006 (BST)

I would trade the merz bow for an additional 50 sulphur. Hendsch 15:46, 26 September 2006 (BST)

Thanks for the extra sulphur! I threw in some arrows. Hendsch 16:03, 26 September 2006 (BST)

Yep, apprentice means I'm at the bottom level of the wizard career track. Hendsch 17:07, 26 September 2006 (BST)

I have some triffid sting, that I might part with. Sadly no Croc scales or Basket of plums (or Seaweed fronds, but those are easy enough to get at Jons Kraken Shack). I have a few fags too if you are interested.

I have 111 Triffid stings, of which I indent to keep 90, leaving 21 open for trade. I do infact (after checking my inventory) have 2 Seaweed fronds that could be traded. 18 Fags, but I intend to keep them for my own Potions of Acurracy. Are you interested in Earth aligned weaponry too? Price for the triffid stings - hmmm... On the southern market they currently sell for 5666gp each. Sertularian sells them for 1400 in his Hard Knocks Supplies. I think I'll place myself in the middle and say 2500-3000gp/sting. I would gladly trade for Roc rocks if you have any. My next goal is Hard Knocks level 20, for which I need 90 Rock Rocks/Triifd stings and 180 Croc scales (+Phoenix feathers and Gold of course).
I noticed you had Doses of Antidote in your inventory. Would trade Tiffid stings for doses of antidote. 22:06, 26 September 2006 (BST)
How about this: 20 Triffid Stings + 2 Seaweed Fronds for 6 Roc Rocks + 6 doses of Antidotes? --TerrorRemedy 22:33, 26 September 2006 (BST)
If I count correctly Waynestock will end about 18.30-19.00 Monday 2nd October.

Hmm, I somehow forgot about empty bottles, so I am going to gather and craft some, but if you have some spares or something, please give them to Naius. -- X-Himy 04:05, 27 January 2007 (GMT)

Still haven't received the other 30 from you yet. I wish there was a way to keep track of palantir history and such. -- X-Himy 16:15, 27 January 2007 (GMT)

I think I have enough plums for nearly both of us in the next batches! Just need a summon to the party, which I think I will ask for when I’m done.  Hope you have the fags and seaweed fronds, cause our accuracy is going to go up again! Woot! ETA’s about 30 hours from now when the batch is grown. – 05:15, 24 May 2007 (GMT)

I completed the bomb squad quest after a 12 spice blitz (that was the best 1260 AP spent, ever), and I would strongly advise you to get your accuracy up. The large(r) demons are able to see invisible players, and it's not really fun to get your accuracy/max HP and AP brought down by a demon. Apparently a piece of kraken meat helps, but I've not tried it myself, due to lack of planning and and caring on my part. -- 09:37, 22 April 2007 (GMT)

Hey there, care to petsit my goldfish for 2 weeks (15 Sep - 30 Sep)??

Hey Conzy! Once upon a time you gave me a glass sword to help with my treasure hunt, and I was a poor Earl and unable to give you anything in return. So now I was wondering - I have a horsie with a bun in the oven, and no prospective owner. Seeing as you were so nice to me, would you like first dibs on the little pwny when it's born? I don't want anything in return (I already owe you!) - though I'd ask that you keep a page updated for it like you do with your goldfish so I can see how it's going, and obviously update the pedigree page for it as details become available on its colour, type and sex. :) Interested? The pwny is due in about 6 days. Rhapsodie 05:58, 5 November 2007 (GMT)

I wrote another blues. I know you're not really playing much anymore, but I thought you might like to know. (And the offer of a pwny stands if you ever come back.) Rhapsodie 08:21, 24 January 2008 (GMT)
