I've added a bit to shrinkpets make sure the fly button comes over - otherwise it never appears (I didn't know Clancy flew for ages!).

var flyNode = xpathOneNode('.//input[@value="Fly (20AP)"]', petNode);
var flyNode = xpathOneNode('.//input[@value="Land (20AP)"]', petNode);
feedNode.appendChild(flyNode);

Ravensdance

You lose a Front 242 T-Shirt.
You gain an Old Front 242 T-Shirt.

I guess you'd like that for the gap in your collection, right? :) Ravensdance 23:00, 20 January 2009 (GMT)

Heh, no problem. I haven't gained either item, but I'll let you know if I ever do. I do note there's one drop on BB for the Flux Capacitor, so if it can be gained by monster-killing I'm sure I'll get one sooner or later.... Ravensdance 21:01, 4 February 2009 (GMT)

Corellis

1) Thanks for grocery clerk again! :) 2) I have quite a few ABPO bows if you need them. 3) I messed up the last time you gave me my BB key and chatzilla died before I could copy the key down. :P 4) I know you like running around wearing ghastly bling - wouldn't it be better to get petrified by the gorgan and zap yourself down to 0XP? Sounds like you'll save yourself a lot of trouble, unless there will be future quests that require a minimum XP. Not like XP is hard to come by, isn't it? I just got 7 million XP for killing a giant mutant large (?) mimic. -- Corellis 14:25, 04 November 2008 (EST)

Partykiller/Boxmover GM script

Partykillers purpose is to be able to highlight a string of text in the message box, and push a button in partykiller, and that string of text won't show up again. My main purpose in this is to nuke all the old "X party wuz 'ere" messages from GCM, so ideally, it would want to override gcms output/take precedence after gcm and delete those bits. I likely could just modify gcm to not have the output, but there are useful messages from it too.

Boxmover would move the store box (that lists what a store has for sale) and the pet boxes (that displays pets at feet) down to the bottom of the column. You had mentioned making it such that you could move anything anywhere) --BortJr 19:38, 6 September 2008 (BST)

PotatoScript Request

Monster Table Manager

It would be quite useful to have a script to tell you if you're close to topping a table. Possibly a script to inform you that your tables have been toppled, and how far you are from being back on top. Corellis 02:18, 15 November 2008 (EST)

This would indeed be vewy vewy helpful :-) --naath 14:16, 15 November 2008 (GMT)
Completed as Monster Masher. PotatoEngineer 21:48, 17 January 2009 (GMT)

find nearest pasture

Well, I didn't know it would be that much work (shows how much I know about programming). I just thought you could do a search for those terrains, and add their coordinates, with a few updates if/when the map changes. Anyway, I like the idea of adding it to GCN. Would it be possible to also do something similar to what GCN does of only come up when it's needed? for example it only shows up if you have a horsie by your feet and said horsie is hungry?--Che-T۞ 07:14, 23 June 2008 (BST)

Ok, count me in as a "mecenas" for adding a "search" function into GCN--Che-T۞ 22:48, 27 June 2008 (BST)
Tested it a bit, and I got to say it will have a lot more uses that I initially thought. Now we should talk payment, drop me a line--Che-T۞ 03:03, 30 June 2008 (BST)
The easiest for me at the moment would be to pay with Power Crystals, since I got them on me. any particular tp is more convenient for you?
Completed as a feature for the Golden Condor Navigator. PotatoEngineer 21:48, 17 January 2009 (GMT)

PotatoFeeder

Have you ever thought about writing an auto-feed script for pets? I suppose the real challenge would be handling multiple types and when to stop. Maybe a config file that lists each pet as an elements with type, feed, and how many times. --Tiltowait 14:11, 15 May 2008 (BST)

In response to your post, I thought you were going to shake me down for real money. Jeeze, can I afford it? I'm fake rich in a fake world. Just figure out what you want, I've got you covered ;)

I'm looking for the former, to make it easier to keep up with the daily grind of feeding when not actually behind the keyboard. If the former works, the latter will too. I'm inclined to less is more in scripts, and not really included to fancy stuff. Better to be able to hammer nails with it.

I'm shortly going to be out of pocket for about 10 days. Let me think about this and we'll start working through details when I get back. But at this point, I think we have the makings of an accord. --Tiltowait 21:17, 16 May 2008 (BST)

Bein' nosey and all, I can see this as a boon to those who sit on holiday island if this is an autofeed, rather than a user-click thing... Syagrius 03:08, 17 May 2008 (BST)
Features - An option to feed to 100%, say, once per day (if one was to leave it running while on vacation or something similar...), or to overfeed to max. The option to overfeed would require a ranking of the foods, one rank for those that will not overfeed, one rank for those that will. I usually feed to max, then overfeed a bit in case I don't get back on right away. Syagrius 19:05, 17 May 2008 (BST)

I think PotatoFeeder is just about perfect naming. Glad to hear you're done. I suppose we should discuss remuneration. --Tiltowait 18:34, 17 June 2008 (BST)

Got your message. I'll try it out. --Tiltowait 21:10, 18 June 2008 (BST)
50 pizzas, deal. I'll start collecting ingredients, and we'll figure out a spot to hand off the dough. --Tiltowait 14:31, 23 June 2008 (BST)
Doing the math, I suspect it will take about 2 weeks to gather all the ingredients & bake 50 pizzas. That OK with you? --Tiltowait 14:59, 23 June 2008 (BST)
I've got all the olives and most of the cheese. Tomatoes will be the hard part: 250 beans @ 5 AP each. That'll be what takes a while. And baking 50 pizzas @ 15 AP each. I'll keep you posted --Tiltowait 21:31, 27 June 2008 (BST)
It's probably a good time to get the dough. I've got enough ingredients (about 1/5 of the tomatoes and everything else except dough) to start making pizzas during down times. Let me know where you want to meet up. I'm currently at Azuaron's Retirement Party. --Tiltowait 15:32, 30 June 2008 (BST)
I'll summon you to a trading post early next week. I'm sort of on the run right now, if you catch my drift. --Tiltowait 20:03, 3 July 2008 (BST)
OK, I've got everything, tomatoes, olives, cheese, and even converted to Fire to make the baking cheaper. Just need the dough. Give me the Thumbs Up and I'll summon you to get the dough, then summon you a few days later to hand stuff over. Is that OK with you? --Tiltowait 15:43, 17 July 2008 (BST)
I've been PAYGing Cor all week but he must not have any bars whereever he is ;) Let me know how we meet up. I think we've both got hats at this point. --Tiltowait 14:27, 25 July 2008 (BST)
Maybe not any more. I'm going to try summoning you again right now. --Tiltowait 14:29, 25 July 2008 (BST)

Can I ask for 1 more thing? a "grass locator" for pwnies? it just let you know the coodinates to the nearest pasture and/or meadow terrain. --Che-T۞ 15:40, 19 June 2008 (BST)

Mana Display

How about a small script that puts current mana amount up by HP?--LimeHan 22:49, 13 June 2008 (BST)

Update to Outfitter

What I'd like is a checkbox that says 'Don't change clothes' so I can built 'pet groups' that can be easily equiped. Now that I have many large pets, I spend ages changing from one to the other. Phw 01:04, 17 May 2008 (BST)

Already implemented. Look for the "Only unequip items if space is needed" checkbox. And let me know if you can think of a better label. PotatoEngineer 03:20, 15 June 2008 (BST)

Update to Grocery Clerk

Is it possible to add an option to only put a certain number of an item in a bag, and not put any more if that item is already in the bag? Like if I want to make up a custom bag that only holds on of every book, for example, and I can just go and click all the books in my inventory and it'll only add one if it's not already in the bag. Another option to "always put items of this type in a bag" would be cool too, so you could just check "food" and it would autoselect all the items in that section.--LimeHan 17:05, 17 May 2008 (BST)

Now that I've finally installed it, I LOVE Grocery Clerk. Two teensy requests, though:

  1. Before I press the Configure button, the list of bags is sorted by something, I'm not sure what (Bag ID#?). It's sometimes hard to find the bag I'm looking for, but at least the list is always presented in the same order. After I press Configure, the list of bags is re-loaded (to pick up any bags that haven't been configured yet) and is shuffled - it's in a different order each time. This makes it even harder for me to find the bag I want to (re)configure. Ideally, both versions of the list would be sorted by visible, not internal, name.
  2. I'd like to have a better idea of what got bagged. Is there any way to suppress the "Please don't try and be surreal..." messages?

Daily Something

Reminder to self from IRC conversation with Incen.

Need a script that will:

  • Display a countdown until the next time you can get food/drink from the Cornucopia (in the item box)
  • Display a countdown until the next time you can practice (for any musical instrument, in the item box)
  • Display a warning whenever you're within 2 days of the "square one" timer for musical instruments, somewhere obvious

Payment: 2 furious bows, or 150k, or possibility + 20k.

Completed. Currently uses 12 hours for Cornucopia, 16 hours for music, and two weeks for "square one".

For a Possibility?

Would a Possibility be enough to have you program the Time to Max AP to look up our characters by username? That is, upon looking at the page, we'd be prompted to either fill in the information ourselves (as it does now) or to put in our character names.
I've found I'm pretty lazy lately. S. Mackie 06:17, 1 July 2008 (BST)

Being that both prompts would be there, you could simply have identical (or use same) check boxen for parties, Bleak Island, etc. It would match my criteria even if it isn't totally hands-free, so long as there's a minimum of fuss consistent with many other existing Cities tools. 08:56, 1 July 2008 (BST)

Ultimate Altar of Air

Or whatever the hell UAA stands for. Couldje make a script to move on a schedule with this? Or does one already suffice? I find I'm forgetful. Can pay in glass swords, that sort of thing. 08:45, 12 December 2008 (GMT)

Ye might wanna check to be sure that the script doesn't treat 2030 as 0830. I think that may have happened earlier and set back my schedule even further than I'm capable of doing alone.
And I'm mighty capable of fucking with my schedule. 08:53, 1 February 2009 (GMT)
Addendum: Seems it will try to push me in my chosen direction regardless of the time I insert in that time slot, whenever I reload the page. 09:03, 1 February 2009 (GMT)

Potato Humor

Of course, it's always hard to joke around without offending somebody, so I can't say as I'm angry or anything. I just get a little antsy every time I see a message what says "Calculating chance of user procreation: 3%." I feel a little ridiculous asking, but short of removing Potato tools, is there a way to turn off that particular message? The miscarriage weighs heavier on me than I like. S. Mackie 23:13, 15 January 2010 (GMT)

Aaaand it still bugs me. I really shouldn't let it get to me, I take it. :( S. Mackie 16:42, 20 April 2010 (BST)
Not sure how much PE's around anymore. But you should be able to find the script on your machine and remove the message yourself. Tools -> Greasemonkey -> Manage User Scripts, click on the relevant script and click "Edit". Then do a find on the relevant message (I imagine it's probably in a list with other messages, but don't have the script handy to make sure) and delete that one. Or replace it with your own. --Dragon 16:58, 20 April 2010 (BST)

naath

It would be really cool if the nice counter was character-specific; just a suggestion --naath 17:02, 20 December 2007 (GMT)

Heh. Not a problem for those with no alts... S. Mackie 19:10, 20 December 2007 (GMT)
I can fix that, but I'm in California for the holidays. I'll be back home with the new near. Speaking of which, what on Earth do you use that for!? Bubba commissioned it, and he never told me. And now you're requesting a change, which implies it's useful elsewhere. What are you doing with that script!? PotatoEngineer 22:06, 20 December 2007 (GMT)

The data for the Vents opening times in Big Brother is saying '1901 December 13, 21:45'... cities must have been around longer than we thought :)

Monster League script should be called "Monster Mash"; I'm not sure about loosing "by a small margin"... ST seems to be a fan of totally frying me in the leagues all at once. So maybe loosing *at all* is needed. Also I was thinking it might have a "report" section in the Potato Console that I could click to see which leagues I *have* to compare against the list I have of leagues I *want* (currently stored on my computer). Console helps too because I often miss messages overnight especially at a busy party. --naath 10:16, 27 November 2008 (GMT)

Script - YAY! thanks. The updater isn't working though --naath 14:43, 30 November 2008 (GMT)

Sert

I strive with every fiber of my being to resist, but absent any new Official Quests on the horizon, I find myself drawn inexorably closer, gravitationally, helplessly, hopelessly, in a descending elliptical orbit I believe, towards the Inexplicable Collection Quest. Starting one of my own, that is. Might you have a Potato-approved List of Items, or a guidebook of any sort, or an advisory, or perhaps even a small tri-fold brochure to offer a poor soul standing on the brink? -- Sertularian 23:45, 20 January 2009 (GMT)
