Re: Guilds

Hey! it looks like its actually working now! Not sure what happened, have not heard anything from GLs. (If they responded to my incessant whining, that response must've gotten lost somewhere) Looks like I may actually have a working guild now! AmishRobots 21:43, 31 January 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the loan offer. Where would you like to trade? park bench or Air city?--Che-T 15:39, 28 August 2007 (BST)

Thanks for finding the missing ones, and for those glasses. if you need anything back in a hurry just let me know. As soon as I finish we will meet wherever you decide--Che-T 00:05, 29 August 2007 (BST)

Just took a peek at your Bomb Squad list. Don't forget, you have to start and end at Kingdom, so you can get out and join the Bomb Squad. Syagrius 19:36, 3 May 2006 (BST)

You're welcome :) Just trying to be helpful. I'd hate to see someone spend a whole bunch of effort, AP, HP, etc. just to find out they didn't have the cards needed to get back. Course, I still need to head down there and do that quest too. Syagrius 18:26, 4 May 2006 (BST)

  • If you still have the book Time Enough for Love, I'd really appreciate borrowing it from you. It, and Farnham's Freehold, are the last two books I need to read. I'm hanging at the Park Bench for a while. Syagrius 20:37, 7 May 2006 (BST)
Thanks a bunch! One book left (which is also missing from Caroline's Bag) Syagrius 20:27, 8 May 2006 (BST)

Do you know what happened to my bag of books after the Alliance finished with it? I'm at the Park Bench and I have Job and Methueselah to add to it.Caroline 22:30, 19 April 2006 (BST)

This has been dealt with. BlaisedeC 17:04, 20 April 2006 (BST)

Hello TerrorRemedy, Sorry, I got impatient and took off, only 4 more standing stones to go. I can taste the lower APregen. I'd still trade you up to 4 garlics for plums. I also glanced at your inventory and saw that you had a ton of crocodile scales. There is nothing you'd be willing to trade...say... 29 of them for is there? I'll offer you a winged boot (to complete your set(unless you have three and are wearing two)), an air sword, an air bow, 50 arrows, and 4 slices of gorgonzola cheese for them. What do you think? I can summon you in about 24hr if you are interested, and you'll get my last summon stone in the bargain. Hbookbinder 22:56, 9 April 2006 (BST)

Can you blow some molten glass into jars for me? I need 20 jars; I have the molten glass, but it would take me 300 AP and will only take you 60... BlaisedeC 14:34, 4 April 2006 (BST)

Yep, no problem, hand over the molten glass and I'll make the Jars. A little low on AP (as usual) but I'll make 'em as fast as possible. TerrorRemedy 15:30, 4 April 2006 (BST)

Hi. Do you have spare Crocodile Scales? (I notice that you have a lot, but don't know how many are reserved for your Alliance.) If so, I'm looking for 80 of them. I'll trade Roc Rocks, if you/your alliance want them, or other stuff (see inventory). Please let me know here. Thanks! --Dragon 05:07, 10 May 2006 (BST)

Going with the 2:1 Hard Knocks ratio, I'll trade 40 Rocks for 80 Scales. I have no Midas Wand at present but can obtain one shortly--assuming I can get one, I'd trade it and 15 Rocks for the Scales. --Dragon 16:31, 10 May 2006 (BST)
OK. I'm pretty sure you aren't summonable while you're in Kansas--let me know when you're ready and I will summon you. --Dragon 17:02, 10 May 2006 (BST)
Summoned you. You should have 40 Rocks. Do you want the Wand too? Note: I'll be offline for about an hour, starting immediately (sorry), but will check messages when I get back. --Dragon 17:14, 10 May 2006 (BST)
Midas Wand given. You can either give me back 50 Scales, or an Earth Sword and as many Scales as you think is fair. (I've been abusing my Earth Sword stash recently. Well, technically, I've been abusing Rocs recently with my Earth Sword stash. But the effect is the same.  :) ) --Dragon 18:03, 10 May 2006 (BST)
Gah. 15 is a bit much for an Earth Sword. Anything else you want? Alternatively, are the Treasure Maps for trade (assuming they're valid, of course)? --Dragon 03:15, 11 May 2006 (BST)
Gave you 4 more Rocks for the Earth Sword. I think we're square now. Your math on the treasure map is about right, but doesn't factor in that the treasure map requires effort (read: AP). And Blings are a gamble--you could get the completely useless Horizontal Bling, or you could get a Major Healing Bling. I'm fine with our current deal.  :) Let me know if there's anything else...
By the way, I'm leaving the trading post now--I need to blow off some AP. If there's anything else, let me know and I can stonegate back. --Dragon 05:23, 11 May 2006 (BST)

Noticed that you lost that wizards hat. To bad I didn't get it, but it was a funny chase. Peskil 11:13, 20 June 2006 (BST)

No worries, had a few [unexpected] days to work off myself. Presuming you ride the Elevator down, I can either make my way over to that part of the world, or we can meet up in a prearranged city. Meeting in a city would be [much] faster since you can <Break> as soon as you hit the ground. --Tiltowait 13:59, 13 September 2006 (BST)

  • Windy City. I'll be in the monestary for a couple days, then I'll move to the trading post --Tiltowait 18:43, 14 September 2006 (BST)

In an effort to get some more information on Free Parties and fill up the wiki, I was wondering what info you could give me. Other than the rig, what else do you need to start a free party? Is the rig consumed in the party? Are the records? How much AP did it cost to start? Do drugs and alcohol have an extra effect?

The assumption is that AP regen time is halved, can we get it down to anything else? -- X-Himy 04:14, 20 September 2006 (BST)

Thank you TerrorRemedy, I am deeply honoured that you would compose a requiem for me. Also I wasn't aware that everybody knew about it. I hoped that my death would be more intimate, even in the middle of woodstock yitscar12:05, 23 September 2006 (BST)

I got your palantir about the records. That deal sounds fine to me. Counting the records that were offered to me by elan, that puts us up to 9 communally. All we're missing is 1 record, and potentially one pouch of magic herb (if that is indeed needed to start the party). Zingus 15:12, 25 September 2006 (BST)

Currently I'm down in Oz but I think I'm going to make a trip back up later today. I'll keep you posted. Zingus 18:01, 25 September 2006 (BST)

I've summoned you down to OzFest. Thanks again for the records. Zingus 03:18, 3 October 2006 (BST)

Duke TerrorRemedy MD says 'Conzy, I could trade you 5 Flying fish, estimated value 5 * 2000gp. I would trade for cash or any reasonable items.'

I would answer you in Cities, but I just blew my AP :-) Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't really need Flying fish. I was looking for a lion fish (Hendsch had the same misunderstanding).
Aaaah, now I get it, I just remember the Potion of Accuracy recipe thingy :-) Ok, let's trade. Maybe there is something else I can make you happy with? My list of spare items shoulde be viewable . Else I will just give you the 10000gp. Greetings, Conzy 21:19, 26 September 2006 (BST)

Thanks! You happen to have some spare Ancient Wood, Triffid Stings, Crocodile Scales or maybe other ingredients for the Potion of Accuracy? Conzy 21:37, 26 September 2006 (BST)

Thanks, man! Don't worry about the Seaweeds or the Crocoscales, but some Triffied Stings would be nice :-) Name thy reward. Conzy 21:45, 26 September 2006 (BST)
Sorry, it was sleeping time in my timezone. Are you still interested in trading? I suggest 30 Triffid Stings + 2 Seaweed Fronds for 10 Roc Rocks + 6 doses of Antidotes , or am I being greedy now ;-) Conzy 09:13, 27 September 2006 (BST)
Ok, the deal is on, I only need time to grow back the AP I spent :-S Do you know what time will Waynestock end? Conzy 09:42, 27 September 2006 (BST)
If I count correctly Waynestock will end about 18.30-19.00 Monday 2nd October. TerrorRemedy
Aha, so it really is a multiple-day festival? :-) I guess I'll pop out to feed the Master Thief, but come back soon then. Thanks for the addictive Triffid Stings, I hope you have well received your package as well :-) Conzy 11:30, 27 September 2006 (BST)

I'm afraid our trade got a bit nerfed with the goings-on yesterday.

I lost my longbows in a roll back - I will get you one asap if that's your preference. Alternatively, take a look and see if there's anything else you fancy from my inventory.

Can you please confirm that you got the sword? Naius 00:34, 12 January 2007 (GMT)

OK, no reply here or by palantir, so I've bought you a longbow. Sorry about the delay. Naius 00:45, 14 January 2007 (GMT)

I did see that (and, I believe, I used it, also). I think that's what Dragon was alluding to with his previous comment but you putting the link to the old Current Events post is more to the point and, IMHO, better. Thanks! Snare 03:20, 15 July 2007 (BST)

I don't think anyone from the HAS got back to you about the Skull Gull Skulls, so I thought I really ought to do so myself (on Calm Breeze's behalf). He has now started binding Salamanders so can make Fire Swords. What he's really low on is Mana (especially with no Pentacle for some time now) so making more Spirit Catchers wouldn't be practical. Now each Bound Salamander is costing 12 Mana to make (one every 37 hours, including the 1 Mana to activate a Spellbook) so they are expensive (he's just wasting all of the excess AP on searching Ruins or collecting Pieces of Wood in Forests). In contrast Skull Gull Skulls are on the market for 500 Gold each and Calm Breeze can pay you in Gold for them very easily. In fact given the large number available at the markets and the amount of Gold that Calm Breeze has amassed from selling Baskets of Plums, it's sadly really not worth him buying Skulls for anything other than Gold. So he can certainly offer you 11,000 Gold if you're interested? -Stelio 09:08, 6 November 2007 (GMT)

Oh, I got married on February 2nd. Didn't want to get married during Lent, after all; you're supposed to have a mostly-undecorated wedding for Lent. The lucky gal is Erin, who, alas, does not play Cities at all. PotatoEngineer 05:25, 5 February 2008 (GMT)
