Players can also add new things here, but once we think we know what the item does, it should be moved into the correct page.

See Musical Instruments.

Annoying Plastic Thing

Can be discarded for 0 AP. No other apparent use. Syagrius 20:57, 15 March 2006 (GMT)

Actually, devastating to waterfowl. 22:14, 20 March 2006 (GMT)

For sale at the Southern Market for 500,000 gp. I wonder what it does?? Don't have the loot to find out. Red Guard 19:30, 20 March 2006 (GMT)

Um... BFG in my vocabulary means Big F#$king Gun. maybe an all-powerful weapon? Seems to destroy immense amounts of gold ;) Syagrius 07:29, 21 March 2006 (GMT)

Probably does LOTS of damage and breaks very easily.

  • The BFG9000 is a gun from Doom. High damage, area of effect. Cleans out rooms like skunk oil deodorant, only faster and messier. In Quake2 it gets upgraded to the BFG10k.
    • I saw Lord Rutven testing out a big gun on the maiden voyagen of the space elevator. In a conversation overheard between him and Elsewhere on this lift, I think its powered by Crystals and makes you blind for 4 ap. - The Beggar 08:36, 27 March 2006 (GMT)
      • Yes, it makes everybody near you blind, also. Droll 16:03, 16 June 2006 (BST)

In the Doom movie it's called Bio Force Gun, but of course Syagrius term is the most widespread.-- 23:15, 27 July 2006 (BST)

Dropped by whales. Useful in certain Spells

Bottle of Dragon Fruit Juice

Made by squeezing a dragon fruit into an empty bottle. (9 AP, fire) Can drink juice (tastes firey!) for 1 AP. No apparent effect. Syagrius 06:03, 2 April 2006 (BST)

Buy 4 for 99 GP from Captain Hockney. Equippable. You "Light" it for 0 AP to equip it, and "Extinguish" it for 0 AP to return it to your inventory. It probably lights dark areas, but I haven't tested it. Random4518 15:14, 19 August 2006 (BST)

It does work as a light. It's not as bright as lanterns though. - Isambard 02:38, 1 September 2006 (BST)

Dragon Fruit

Foraged from a dragon spire. Can be eaten (yum!) for 1 AP. No apparent effect.

Fairy Dust

Obtained by attacking (name) the Fairy with a Nuff. No uses found so far.

Found on a Sea Lion. Not wearable for swimming.

Found on a Ghost. Perhaps useful with the pair of tongs? (tongs for tossing salad, fork for eating it?)

Hmm. Spatula, Tongs, and a Fork? I don't think they're for salad! I'm gonna stock up on steaks. -- Sertularian 11:53, 23 June 2006 (BST)
You might need some charcoal too for a Barby. Dendrast 04:07, 29 June 2006 (BST)
Who needs charcoal, I've got a blowtorch! Hendsch 13:46, 29 June 2006 (BST)

Found mine on a wolf --smudgepuss 14:19, 24 June 2006 (BST)

A whole load of good stuff. Items one might get include; golden guns, aligned weapons, gold, arrows, common weapons, cans red bull, mugs of coffee, and all sorts of more minor items.

Guard's Helmet

I saw Tank wearing one; I don't know what it does. BlaisedeC 18:56, 23 May 2006 (BST)

You can't swipe them either. Maybe some sort of reward from the admins? This may have something to do with it.----Hamelin 03:57, 5 June 2006 (BST)

Iron Hubbard

Looks like you can make this for 10AP(Water) using 5000 Bits of Iron. Using it costs 1AP and gives you a Copy of Battlefield Earth. You can reconvert it into 5000 Bits of Iron for 10AP(Water). Is that it? What a waste. MrBlarney 20:34, 19 August 2006 (BST)

  • Oh, geez. I didn't realize Battlefield Earth was a new book (haha, I get it). Reading it will cost 240AP... I'll do that next week before I go on vacation. You know what I mean. MrBlarney 20:37, 19 August 2006 (BST)

Drops from Mothers. No obvious use (although Elseware has stated that it does have one).

Kirk's Map

No idea were I got this from, I just noticed it in my inventory a couple of days ago. I don't think it's a treasure map. When selected it just says "Where did you get this from?"

Kirk can be found in space, roughly 10N of the space station, but the map does nothing different either in space, or in the vicinity of Kirk. Anyone got any suggestions?--Mick Sterbs 10:23, 14 June 2006 (BST)

It's the map for the Magic Egg Hunt Quest MrFoo 10:58, 14 June 2006 (BST)

Lava Solvent

Can be used to dissolve a square of cooled lava for 1AP. It gets used up in the process.

Lump of Beeswax

1 AP to use (doesn't really). Goes ding ding. --Qazxcv 21:39, 5 August 2006 (BST)

I found this at the storeroom. No idear what it is? Merian 20:57, 24 June 2006 (BST)

Perhaps you should try to find a pestle, ground herbs anyone? Soren 21:06, 24 June 2006 (BST)

I found a pestrel, but I have no herbs and no AP. I´m on the hunt after a Midas Wand to kill my undead Dragon. Merian 15:56, 26 June 2006 (BST)

It says "ding ding." when i use it, doesn't use AP. Qazxcv 20:54, 29 June 2006 (BST)

If you have a mortar and pestle, you can turn 5 magic beans into a lump of mashed beans (usage unknown ... any brave souls wanna try it out?) Soren 22:43, 30 July 2006 (BST)

found at the storeroom. There is a lot of new Kitchengear, fork mincer mortar............... Merian 20:54, 25 June 2006 (BST)

It must be a conspiracy to make crafting even more AP-intensive than before! PotatoEngineer 23:17, 26 June 2006 (BST)
Got a Spatula too
Picked up a pistle in Bentnob - perhaps the earth skill of grinding will now require the mortar and pistle? Syagrius 14:14, 27 June 2006 (BST)
Mincers are currently on sale at Wallys in Fire City, for 8000 gold. Also Aprons, for 500 gold. Random4518 10:31, 30 June 2006 (BST)

I'm finding these on crocodiles. No apparent use so far. 'nuff said.

  • I got one off the Giant in Cloud Land when I killed it, along with the normal loot. weird. Jatt 19:05, 28 February 2006 (GMT)
  • A nuff is that quantity which is sufficient.
  • maybe a nuff is the opposite of a s'more? akash
  • When I equipped it I suddenly noticed an invisible monster nearby, "Pcuk the Fairy". I attacked it with the Nuff and it thanked me, took it, and handed me a "Gram of Fairy Dust" which I haven't found a use for yet. Lidon 19:56, 26 March 2006 (BST)
  • Following the advice above I walked around with the Nuff until I saw Roul the Fairy.

You attack the Roul the Fairy. You lose a Nuff. 'Thank you. We were wondering where that went.' You gain a Gram of Fairy Dust. The fairy pats you on the head and vanishes into Arcadia. You cause points of damage, and receive 0 experience. The Roul the Fairy causes 0 points of damage. Now using Fists. Nomex 01:49, 27 March 2006 (BST)

Sounds to me like Fairy Nuff.

  • the first fairy i attacked with a nuff gave me fairy dust, but the second gave me a pint of fairy liquid. i'm a bit scared as to what exactly that is, but i still haven't found any use for it. :) Jatt 05:32, 1 April 2006 (BST)
    • unless it was a date specific item - fairy liquid is a well known brand of washing up liquid in Blighty, could be used to clean things or make lots of bubbles? Havelock2 11:38, 5 April 2006 (BST)
      • i didn't get it on the first, that's just when i got around to posting it. :) and if i find anything to clean, i'll try it. maybe the blood and dirt and mud and all off my magic boots after a hard day's adventuring? scrub the decks of my survey vessel? the possibilities are endless! :) i do have another nuff, however, maybe another fairy will give me something different? has anyone else done more than 2 or gotten fairy liquid as well? Jatt 07:01, 7 April 2006 (BST)
        • I just attacked a fairy, first time I've seen one even, it gave me the fairy liquid Jhvh1
  • According to [1], it takes three Stuff to make a Nuff. Anybody found Stuff? PotatoEngineer 04:27, 12 April 2006 (BST)
    • I just got one from a Triffid...after wandering with it I found the Fairy and:

You attack the Adolph the Fairy. You lose a Nuff. 'Thank you. We were wondering where that went.' You gain a Pint of Fairy Liquid. The fairy pats you on the head and vanishes into Arcadia. You cause points of damage, and receive 0 experience. Now using Fists.(it was the first time Ive gotten a nuff) Spacer one 05:57, 12 April 2006 (BST)

    • Maybe they're useful against Dust Devil! Anyone with enough suicide notion as to try so? It won't certainly be me =P --LordAsriel 16:24, 21 May 2006 (BST)

Pair of Fishnets

Made by combining 2 fishing nets. Can be equipped. Can wear out too. No apparent effect. Syagrius 19:22, 29 July 2006 (BST)

Try equipping when on a boat, perhaps? Either that or you might try it with a pair of high heels ... Soren 19:32, 29 July 2006 (BST)

Pair of Pointy Boots

Equipable. Adds Goth to Fashion statement. Maybe helps movement too? --Tiltowait 22:34, 6 September 2006 (BST)

Pair of Tongs

1 Damage, -40% to hit, listed under weapons in the inventory.

  • Perhaps has something to do with all the greens people are growing lately? Making a salad perhaps?
Or might go well with 2 pairs of fishnets (see above)...Droll 19:08, 23 August 2006 (BST)

Party Pack

Holds four Team Rings, among other goodies

Picked up from Captain Hockney's in Bentnob. Now to find myself a mortar.

Picnic Basket

Pinch of Salt

got this when getting lots of sand from a beach - no AP so I don't know what it does yet or if its new (I'm sure someone will let me know) :> Havelock2 17:08, 4 April 2006 (BST)

Used for making Margarhitas. Syagrius 02:28, 7 April 2006 (BST)
Eventually, yes it will be. If anyone has a month of Sundays that they can lend me, I'd be very grateful... Nick 08:22, 7 April 2006 (BST)
Also great when confronted with enormous slugs of doom! What a mess that would make, slime trails everywhere and then a puddle of goo!

Pint of Fairy Liquid

Obtained by attacking (name) the Fairy with a Nuff. No uses found so far.

Pouch of Magic Herb

Costs 5AP to use, but I haven't tried them yet... 12:49, 17 March 2006 (GMT)

I have 3 of these (dropped by Djinns) but I always try to research new drugs before I try them myself. Any info? Billz8 04:27, 2 April 2006 (BST)

Rotates my view 90 degrees every time I move, and also dropped my to-hit chance by about 145% (negative for every weapon) not sure how long it lasts or if there are any other effects. Billz8 17:20, 23 April 2006 (BST)

I take that back, my to-hit dropped lower but improves by two with every AP spent. Billz8 17:23, 23 April 2006 (BST)
Ah, but did you get the munchies? ;-> BlaisedeC 14:37, 26 May 2006 (BST)

See Musical Instruments.

Shark Fin

No know use yet. Shark fin soup? Dropped by sharks.

Shark Meat

Can be eaten for 1 AP, no apparent effect. Dropped by sharks.

Shovel ov Kaos

Beats me. Sorts as weapon, showed damage as 7 which should be impossible with a damage multiplier of 5.

Perhaps the damage is random? That'd fit the name -- Thog 21:18, 23 August 2006 (BST)
Would that be the long-awaited phoenix slaying weapon?--Solune 22:07, 23 August 2006 (BST)
My thought was that it would change the mining probabilities when used. It'll be interesting to see what the damage says when I'm done registering as an apprentice (and my damage multiplier is back to 1. Hendsch 22:10, 23 August 2006 (BST)
Mining with it has no effect (other than the AP improvement of a regular spade) that I can see. Droll 15:18, 1 September 2006 (BST)

Shredded Duck Bit

Get from Duck-Billed Ducks. Can be eaten (1 AP), or made into a Crispy Shredded Duck bit (1 AP Fire)

Also from Huge/Giant/Mutant Ducks. - Isambard 00:27, 3 September 2006 (BST)

Single to Oz

Is there going to be a Return to Oz? - Isambard 19:10, 20 August 2006 (BST)
Already out there somewhere. You know you've been playing this game to long when you can see my jokes coming. Elseware 21:38, 20 August 2006 (BST)

Skull Gull Skull

Dropped by Skull Gulls. Have not determined a use yet.

Slip Mat

See Musical Instruments.

- What the ****? I sure hope I have one. Can be used as a weapon, apparently, although for fear of breaking mine I've not tried it. Stub and commentary by Doc Macksting MD

Has anyone tried using this with an Angel? Nomex 23:55, 11 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Yes. Nothing happened. JohnnyRogers 02:04, 26 Jan 2006 (GMT)
Tried selling it at the market - wouldn't let me :( Syagrius 19:55, 12 Jan 2006 (GMT)

How about useing it with a Lost Spirit?

I tried and it doesn't work Ludwig Vega 09:14, 26 February 2006 (GMT)

Sorts under weapons (1 50%)

See Musical Instruments.

Speeder Bike

Buy from Cmdr. Jameson Spares (at the Space Station) for 250000 GP. Board it to zoom in the selected direction until you hit something, at 1 AP per square in space (other terrain?). Also 4 base damage. Presumably wears out or needs to be refueled somehow.

Note that while unequipped, it can hit for 20, but while on board you can't even attack monsters with another selected weapon. JohnnyRogers 20:34, 5 August 2006 (BST)
What happens when you use it in an area that wraps around, and there are no monsters? - Isambard 21:36, 5 August 2006 (BST)

Strand of Silk

Gained when you break free from the Giant Spider's web.

Can we use these for anything yet? Winter garb? Make a silk pirate shirt? -density
As yet, no. I've not thought of anything to do with them. Suggestions gratefully received. Nick 09:23, 20 April 2006 (BST)
Silk Handkerchief. Use: should be something that makes you feel better when you are sick. I would favor it to be the long-awaited makable item to cure a poison level. Alternately (or in addition), if being too hot begins to have a negative effect, silk could be to the desert what wool is to the frozen north with silk shirts, robes, etc. Hendsch 13:21, 20 April 2006 (BST)
Silk to make a magic flying carpet? Syagrius 13:54, 20 April 2006 (BST)
Silk ropes, for manufacturing your own grappling hooks (along with some iron), or require a silk rope to rappel down into the next cave that opens up. For more player-interaction silliness, use silk to manufacture a "Lady's Favor" (or just a Silk Favor if it needs to be genderless), which can be gifted to others as a sort of positive snowball. And off in the "extra-weird corner," ropes could be used to swing through trees & jungles (Tarzaaaaan!), knocking off a few AP when traveling through those terrains. Make bowstrings, so that bows can finally be manufactured. And finally, dry yourself off with it, if still deemed clean enough. </HHGttG> Cor 20:07, 26 May 2006 (BST)
Silk could be used to make an Elf Bow. - Isambard 21:57, 8 June 2006 (BST)
10 to make a purse, which you can fill with 100 gold peices. Then people can donate money to the KOoT in 100 peice increments.
Alternatively, you could use a "pigs (sows) ear" to make a silk purse? Melchitt 23:42, 4 July 2006 (BST)

Drops from Khadis. Used in the Totems quest.

... caddies ... tees ... golf clubs ... someone needs to find some golf balls and we can spoil a perfectly good walk somewhere. 04:03, 25 August 2006 (BST)

Drops from Mötley Grües. Attacking a monster with it will put an umlaut over a random vowel in the monster's name.

Vault Permit

Used to set up a stall in the vault (I don't know how to walk there, I used a talisman, allows stuff to be stored, ideal for clearing out some of the clutter you might be carrying.

Can I use it to store my unused Blings, so I can reduce the damage caused by Bling Wraiths without actually losing any Blings? - Isambard 21:26, 8 September 2006 (BST)

Found on a Sea Lion. Used in certain Spells.
